update on my life-i went to brooklyn new york today

so today i went to brooklyn new york to have pizza. i woke up early this morning so i could go on a run so i would have a good appetite for the junk food today. i got a new cell phone the other day so i tried one of the new ringtones as my alarm and it kinda made me wake up a bit quicker in the morning. i turned on my clock radio and the ramones sedated song was playing and it kinda energized me. i washed my pimple creme off in the sink and i made sure my face was clear-and it was-and i hoped that the junk today wouldnt make me break out-so for cardio today i decided to wear a pair of black nike shorts and a long sleeve white new balance running shirt-i love the look of the long sleeve t and the shorts
so i went for my run at the track and i felt really good and i worked up a good sweat-my legs were still a bit sore from wednesday but after the run they felt better.
so i went back home and put the olive oil in the egg pan and waited for it to heat up then put my cup of egg whites in the pan-i love the sound of the sizzle as the eggs hit the pan-reminded me of the scene of ronnie coleman from his videos-so then i took a quick shower as my eggs cooked-i used a new irish spring body wash and i do not like the smell of it at all
so then i went back to my stove and finished the eggs and put some muffins in the table top toaster and warmed them-and i also took out some good melon to have w/ my meal-so i ate my food and took my vitamins and then got ready to leave for my trip
i stopped by a store to grab lots of waters for the trip-and i brought w me pro powder and berries that i was gonna make pudding out of in the car by mixing a bit of water in it
so me and my friend hit the highway and traffic seemed good-we used his car navigation system and i was happy we did not get lost-at about 10 am i mixed up my pudding and my friend asked me what it was so i told him about it and he agreed that it looked and smelled good
so we finally made it to grimaldis at 10:30 am and we got a good parking space pretty much right in front of the place!
i saw the lights were on in the restaurant and i saw some dudes w grimaldis shirts on standing outside-one guy had a backpack on-i thought maybe they were hardcore fans but then i guessed they worked there cuz they went in to the store
then comes the bad news...it didnt open till 12 on saturday!!!!! so we fed the meter and we decided to go for a walk to see the sights...i walked by a building that had a poison warning paper on the door-and my friend said it was prob for rats
so we saw the brooklyn bridge and went to a water taxi waterside area and i saw the brooklyn ice cream factory i think it was called-but they didnt open till 12 either...so we walked around a bit more and then decided to go wait by grimaldis...it was like 11 now and people were already lining up!!!!! crazy...i could smell the ovens heating up i think-smelled great
so we met some nice people and we talked a bunch to em about pizza and stuff...i even saw this jacked dude that looked like winston from ghostbusters-i went into a store next door the place that was a souvenir type place w real weird creaky floors and some kinda artsy lady was the shop owner-and when i came out he was gone so i dunno what happened to him-at like 1130 the line was down the block..had to be close to 100 people-im not sure...while in line i saw a hot dog vendor down the road so i went to get a pretzle-the vendor was very overweight yet nice-he told me the pretzles werent ready yet and it would be 2 mins-so i waited-then he gave it to me kinda undercooked but it tasted real good-light salt and mustard on it-very tasty
then they brought out a water cooler thaat had a sign on it that it was for customers waiting in line!! then at like 1140 they brought out those rope line formation things u see in clubs and they asked us how many people at our table.so then at 12 we got to go in and sit down
the interior was very old timmee and had red chcker tablecloths and they were playing oldies on the radio-we ordered 2 large pizzas and we were the 1st to order-our food came out in about 12-15 mins and it was the BEST pizza i ever had-so fresh-so light-no grease-they used fresh fresh basil and u could taste it-i looked at the oven area and they had bowls of fresh mozz and a bucket of fresh basil they were using
the pizza was very thin and had a coal burned taste to it-the crust was chewy not crispy and it seemed like that they put the cheese down 1st-then the sauce-very light-perfectly made-it was like art
i ended up getting a pizza to go and a tshirt-when i lift w clavin this week i will wear it and have him take a pic so yall can see it
so we left the restaurant and i got a text from my friend that ups delivered my juniors cheesecake earlier so i was happy-we tried driving around to find juniors on flatbush ave-but we could not find it-no worries-i ended up eating the whole pizza on the way home-actually my friend had 3 slices so i prob had 5
its weird that they serve the pizzas in a big bag-no pizza boxes at this place-whatever
so i got home and cut into my cheesecake-it was sooooo good-i paid a lot for it-it was like 35 for the sampler-then i had to pay like 20 bucks for overnight shipping and the like 15-30 bucks for sat shipping-so the shipping cost more than the cheesecake but it was worth it

all in all a great day and def the best pizza i ever ever had

next sunday i go to johns on bleeker street so well see what happens

the pizzas have like 8 slices and only cost 14 bucks for a large i think-theyre very thin and light so if 2 guys are real hungry that would be easy...i could have easily had 2 large myself

the area i was in was very nice-all kinds of people-lots of tourists taking pix-lots of people jogging

well ive wanted to go there for many years-its kinda like the mecca for pizza lovers-we made the trip just to go there so i would have waited 3 hours if i had to-the line when we got to finally go into eat was all the way down the street- and around the corner-and that was like 5 mins after they opened

I put olive oil in my pan and put it on medium heat-then when it feels warm i pour my eggs in so they sizzle and i reduce heat to a bit above low and i take like a 6 min shower-when i come back its solid enough to tilt the pan so the egg runs under and another 2 mins and im done
