Round 1
Franklin fires a left straight that Liddell moves away from. Franklin lands a clean low kick on Liddell’s lead leg and Liddell answers with two low kicks of his own. Franklin ties up with his opponent and tries to trip him to the floor, but Liddell has none of it. Liddell lands a snapping body kick after having the same technique blocked. A wild punching exchange sees neither man land. Liddell drops levels for a single and he easily takes Franklin down. Franklin gets to his feet and Liddell comes up bleeding from a cut above the left eye. Franklin misses a left-hook lead and a front kick. Liddell has a knee to the face blocked and Franklin misses a counter left. Franklin lands a kick to the body and a low kick. Franklin lands a right hand as Liddell’s hands are low. Franklin connects with another kick to the body. Liddell lands a grazing head kick and then charges forward. Franklin stops a shot from Liddell and the knocks “The Iceman” out cold with a short-right counter on the chin. Franklin landed two more right hands after Liddell was out on the floor. The official time is 4:55 of round one.

I always when people say Liddell can punch his form looks like a girl... Mix martial arts my ass 90of these ufc guys are frauds... They get kudos for being man enoough to get in the ring in front of the world and duke it out.. But 90% can't even fight...

agreed 100%. mma is for the amateurs. liddell is a 'legend' only because he was fed a steady stream of rematches and grapplers during his reign as lhw champ. as soon as he started to fight halfway decent strikers, he started getting ktfo.

This is true and I agree. BUt, but...MMA is a million more times entertaining than watching 2 guys punch each other in the face for 15 rounds in a boxing match.

UFC is just cheesy entertainment with no actual ranking system like a boxing organization. There are a few guys that get title fights in less than 5 pro fights!

The best thing is to go to a local MMA event, spend $30 and watch 15 fights. All but 1 or 2 end in a knockout or TKO...love it.

This was an amazing and entertaining fight and will go down as one of the most epic bouts in MMA history.

Also, Rich Franklin would own Fedor with his eyes closed.

UFC is more interested in making the most possible money, than finding out what we all want to know. Who the best fighter in the world really is.
