If you interfere with a officers arresting a person then the officer can take appropriate action to defend himself, even if its a female.  He'll prob be put in a desk but not fired.

he didn't do anything wrong, but he still could get fired.....what you have to realize about use of force is that department get crazy with it in their policies.....again, he was in the right, but his department policy could bite him in the ass...

my first department had a policy saying if i used a elbow strike i would face disciplinary actions....my new department pretty much say whatever you have to do..

We had a cop here in SW Fl, a few years back.  Got called to a report of gunshots.  Was standing there on the scene and suddenly he hit his panic button on the radio. 

Backup showed up.  he was unconscious.  Gun missing.  Someone knocked him out and took his gun and he didn't have any recollection of what happened.  Crazy.

some are thumb release, but a lot are level 3.....which means the only way it can be pulled out is if it is attached to you.....i use a safariland level 3 for my H&K MK23......you aint getting it out unless you have a lot of know how...
