exactly, as great a player as kobe is, he hasnt won anything without totally stacked teams. Jordan won with pippen and a bunch of role players, and completely average frontcourts. prior to kobe having Prime Shaq, or Gasol/Bynum/Odom/Artest, he didnt even make the playoffs. not only that, but both recent Lakers titles have come when the celtics suffered major injuries

i have never seen an athlete who's been able to "turn it on" like Jordan.  Down by 20?  Fuck that, he scores 30 by himself.  He just had such a keen eye for the sport, it was as close to an athlete being an artist as i've ever seen.

if you read my posts in the sports forum (none of you did because the only sport you care about is bodybuilding) you would know I don't think kobe deserves to be mentioned with mj

but when you look at the teams mj and the bulls beat in the finals i don't think any of them are as good as the lakers, spurs, and celtics of the last 10 years so jordan would have less titles if he played this decade
