I always knew that actress Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order) was the daughter of sex symbol Jayne Mansfield, but I didn't know that her father was one-time Mr. Universe Mickey Hargitay! What do you think...? Is he schmoe worthy? I suppose back in the day this was a killer physique!

Mickey used to call my house all the time when I was a kid, before I was into bbing. My dad leased office space in a building mickey owned down here in FL. He would always be surprised I knew it was him when he called. It was hard to mistake his Hungarian accent.

Yes, it was called the Jayne Mansfield Story. He played Micky Hargitay and Loni Anderson was Jayne Mansfield. I remember a bunch of us from Pearls gym going to watch some the shoot. They used this huge house up in Pasadena.

I sat on Mic's lap when I was a kid. Got a picture of it somewhere. My great uncle was friends with him when he lived in Ohio. I can see if I can dig it up. I never knew he was a bodybuilder until my dad mentioned it when passed away.
