Yes, our country's resident energy expert
« on: June 20, 2010, 04:16:10 PM »
Yes, our country's resident energy expert-- this from Alaska Palin watcher, The Immoral Minority:

Palin is all a Twitter today!
Sarah has had very busy thumbs today.
http://theimmoralminority.blogspot.com /

First she suggests that the best solution to the problem in the Gulf of Mexico is to "pray away the stain".

Gulf disaster needs divine intervention as man's efforts have been futile. Gulf lawmakers designate today Day of Prayer for solution/miracle

THIS is the woman who threw a hissy fit on Bill O'Reilly's show about how the President was not doing enough to stop this spill? And HER solution is to give up and pray to God for a miracle? You know maybe if the Republicans had not allowed the oil companies to write their own regulations we would not have to rely on divine intervention! Did THAT ever dawn on little Miss "Drill Baby, Drill?"

Now I know the Repugs and the Palin-bots are going to try and make the case that President Obama asked for our prayers in his speech last week as well. But the President was asking Americans to pray for strength in dealing with this crisis, NOT for a solution or miracle:

"This nation has known hard times before and we will surely know them again. What sees us through – what has always seen us through – is our strength, our resilience, and our unyielding faith that something better awaits us if we summon the courage to reach for it. Tonight, we pray for that courage. We pray for the people of the Gulf. And we pray that a hand may guide us through the storm towards a brighter day. Thank you, God Bless You, and may God Bless the United States of America."

 :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I honestly thought you were bullshitting, but I checked her Twitter:

Gulf disaster needs divine intervention as man's efforts have been futile. Gulf lawmakers designate today Day of Prayer for solution/miracle

What does this mean? She told Obama to call her for help -THIS was her solution?  WTF?

And can you imagine if she was President right now?  Admitting "man" has failed, and we should all PRAY FOR A MIRACLE?  I mean, what in the world?

AS always there is ..NOTHING behind all that yapping. It's all empty talk and poking fun at somebody who actually HAS responsibilities unlike her quitter ass( nice looking one though). That's all she's good at, Reilly totally exposed her this week with one question "Do you know how to stop the leak"...that deer in the headlights look was absolutely priceless.  ;D

Bill OReilly was correct to ask her about that.

She invited the president to call her for advice, and everyone kept talking about her energy experience, plus todd worked for BP for 20 years.

She led us to believe she had solutions.  Instead, it was "Ask the Dutch", who were already helping us skim up the oil at that point.

Props to Oreilly on that one.

And the one's who "actually has responsibilities" is playing golf, basketball, hosting parties, having washed-up pop stars serenade his wife, and standing around looking stupid, while foreign leaders take potshots at our country.

The one who "actually has responsibilities" rejected aid for the spill, when it was much smaller, got on national TV with his own "deer in the headlights look". Then, when even his most ardent supporters called him out, screaming on national TV for him to get off his behind and lead the efforts to stop this mess, he gets on TV and pretends to be tough by talking about whose @$$ to kick.

Then the coup de grace came with that pitiful speech last week, which was little more than a Cap-And-Trade informercial (minus the ShamWow guy). Even the Obama sack-riders on MSNBC raked him over the coals for that pathetic tripe.

So, the only one being exposed here is the weakling in the Oval Office.

He's only a weakling when it comes to actually doing his job and doing things that benefit average working people.

When is comes to intentionally agitating a situation, destroying something, promoting policies that screw over all but his wall street and BP cronies, Obama is an expert.

Thankfully we have an expert on energy as president. He cleaned up that spill, took control of the situation, then banned off shore drilling and then for good measure is trying to pass a bill that would increase gas prices to 7 dollars a gallon and tripple our electricity costs.I mean, this man is brilliant!!The way he has handled the economy, car industries, banking the oil spill, energy, why even talk about Palin. This community organiser has it all under controll.

Or maybe he should pass cap and trade so we pay 7 dollars a gallon for gas and three times what we pay now for electricity. You see,you can mock her,but at least her ideas dont destroy the country.EVERY idea he has is designed to collapse the economy.Even this spill is an exciuse for him to destroy jobs by shutting down drilling. Thanks,a kook suggesting to pray eliminates ZERO jobs,a fool shutting down drilling destroys thousands of jobs.

How many did his prayers save?  Then again, his prayers were a little bit different don't you think?  What did he pray for?  That God remove the Germans from the beach and inland?  Is that it?  No, it wasn't was it?  Despite his prayers he still realized that the outcome was not going to be a result of "God" but instead a result of the men that were landing and fighting.

Eisenhower praying for a blessing and Palin praying for an instant solution are the same thing?   ::)   Try harder and perhaps you can stumble upon a relevant comparison next time.

But hey... maybe Palin can summon the giant invisible hand from the clouds to come down and scoop the spill out of the ocean herself.

Got an early start putting your foot in your mouth for this week huh?

Maybe you can put on your telemarketing cap and help palin make a few cold calls to the invisible man in the sky to make all the spillage magically disappear.

well, if ppl like Billy and 333386 read about palin's moves... and they change the subject to obama... then we return to a common theme.

They agree that palin was talking out of her ass, then admitted she had nothing to add to the solution besides bitching.

SO they are saying Palin sucks as much as Obama.  I can accept that, sure.

closing the hole and containing the spill are two different things.  No one expects Obama to close the hole on his own.  The spill is a completely different matter.

She's a FOX news commentator who is currently the odds-on favorite to win the 2012 nomination.  She runs a political action committee that works to get people elected.  She runs a social media operation with millions of political followers.  She's a frequent guest on radio and other outlets.

She's a political machine and the #1 voice and face of the republican party dude.

And she claimed to be able to help with the oil problem - then of course, she admitted she didn't have anything to contribute except prayer.

Actually, I just read her offer was on holding the oil companies accountable.  She outlined her own experience with getting the oil companies to pay.  She never claimed to know anything about the oil - that was getbiggers talking about that lol!

She offered him to call her about making BP pay.  Not cleaning up.  not stopping leak.  Just about stripping a private company of its contorl and cash and turning it over to nationalist control.  Sounds like socialism to me.

So yes, she didn't offer advice on the oil - just about nationalizing BP ;)
