How vocal should the 2012 GOP potentials be?
« on: June 20, 2010, 08:49:32 PM »
Palin is just talking away on her blog:
http://twitter.com/sarahpalinusa

Sen Thune has press releases:
http://thune.senate.gov/public/

Mitt Romney has a clean PAC site with 5-paragraph essays released from time to time.
http://www.freestrongamerica.com/

Gov pawlney - plenty of press releases:
http://www.governor.state.mn.us/

Newt is selling his book and citing history, avoiding some day-to-day drama
http://www.newt.org/

Given the fact that the things we "know" today are often very wrong politically in 2 years...
Are the quieter candidates the smarter ones?  Mitt's press releases are vanilla boring, and Palin's are impulsive and emotional.  Mitt may have learned when he was on the record as "staying out of that" when asked about the Iraqi surge.  it's hard to be right every time.  2 or 3 years from now, many positions like "Drill baby drill" are poison.  We see Palin saying on her twitter, "I meant drilling in ANWR all along" but she rarely mentioned that.

I'm betting many of these tweets and blogs and FOX appearance come back to haunt some of these candidates in 2011/2012.

Let's hope so. Palin has been a bit boring lately, and she's an incredible train wreck just waiting to happen.

They should ONLY point out that Obamas cap and trade sceme will increase gas prices to 7 dollars a gallon and tripple energy costs. They should simply point out that fact over and over again.Nothing on the spill, nothing on Obamas response other then to say Obamas solution is to bankrupt you with new energy costs.

When will gas prices reach $7 a gallon?

They're currently a dollar less than they were in 2008.

Can you read?I said if they pass the stupid ass cap and trade bill.A study at Harvard, that bastion of right wing thought, came out with a report from a study they did that concluded gas prices would go up to 7 dollars a gallon if cap and trade passes and energy costs would tripple.THATS ObAMAS SOLUTION,TO DESTROY THE ECONOMY AND BANKRUPT EACH PERSON IN THIS COUNTRY.

Billy - remember this gem - Obama said he liked high gas prices.  "I prefer a gradual adjustment"
