They are getting back into the sports game. The whole line is available @ vit shoppe + things are being pumped back into local retailors; they have a bunch of new sports products out. A buddy of mine turned me onto their new amino fuel. Its pretty bad ass. From what I understand, they have a new ownership group made up of some pretty heavy hitters and they are fixing what the Blechman kids fucked up.

I just saw them do a website takeover on md and muscle + fitness.

They are still huge in vitamins.

Some are some are not. I'm sure you understand that retailers are the ones who set the "margins" on price, so if prices get jacked, you can thank them for that. Dist and store owners get products for about 30-50% less than you pay.

False. There are four major sources of protein in the USA (as well as China) and thats not even getting into the "additives" companies then put in their shit.

Clean - non clean, sucralose - no sucralose...preservative systems, etc..etc.

Have you been to the supermarket? There's like 10 different "protien sources" just in the meat isle alone. Thats not even counting your boyfriend.

Clearly, what I said was to hard for you to grasp. I never said that whey is a better source of protein vs whole foods. Ob whole foods are the best source of nutrients. I said that not all whey is created equal. Which anyone with a brain and the ability to read can tell.

Not that hard, big shot.

They are a big reason why the industry has lost credibility. Their marketing and tactics of overwhelming consumers with a bunch of jargon on their products, (jargon they don't understand) has made a mockery of the companies that put out good shit, based on science.

But you did imply that your boyfriends sperm is even better that whey, I'm pretty sure my tiny brain was able to grasp that. Not something I'd really want to "grasp" though, I'll leave that up to your tiny paws.  ;)

Ha-ha, It's a shame really. A shame that it works when marketing to 18-34 year old males in the mass market; that don't have the understanding of supplements that bodybuilders and knowledgable athletes do. That's the problem with supplements, the big money is out in the mass market, not selling to people who will expect you back up every claim you make, and that have the knowledge to decipher your science.

I know it's trendy on this website to bash supplements, and that's ok.... the industry has brought it on itself. Fact is, there are a lot of good companies out there, that make good products (products that work). Companies that base their products on clinicals and source the best shit they can get their hands on. GMP certified and so on.

Muscletech and their wild claims have done a lot of damage.

I agree. However, for the most part, I would say most supplements don't work. Very few that actually do work. And the ones that do work, usually work on people with at least average genetics. Ive never seen someone with shitty genetics take creatine and blow up.

Agreed, but I think any company worth it's salt (very few of these types left) is going to make realistic claims, and or cite the science behind the product (and what it can do), letting the consumer make the choice. We've been forced words like: EXTREME, MASS and HUGE so much, consumers are getting the wrong idea on what these prodcuts can do. Frankly, I think creatine is one of the best supps you can take. Lots of clinicals and research behind it.

There needs to be regulation...self regulation. Problem is, when the big companies try to do this, all the fly by nights, with huge marketing budgets and snake oil, run wild.

I do agree with you about creatine. A lot of science to back up its claims!

Creatine,arginine,beta-alinine, aminos, whey, tribulus....all worthwhile shit, torn apart by hype.
