Sopranos was entirely a dream.  In the end it was all a made up dream life.  They kind of explain that in the 3rd to last episode when the shrink was explaining how criminals put themselves into these lives that they make up.

The Wire and Sopranos with The Shield third. The Shield was more comic book action, though great in it's way. Mackey becomes a desk jockey...that's funny. Good TV show was The Brotherhood on Showtime. Not so much gangster by Breaking Bad is exceptional. 

Remember watching "Homocide, Life on the Street" when I was  kid. Also great show.

next to the sporano's...........brotherhood was my FAVORITE show ever


showtime did not give it enough publicity, nor did they let it develop


and peopel these days are too impatient to follow a show for a while, without a murder every minute

The Wire and The Sopranos had more depth. The Shield at a certain point got totally unrealistic with Mackey getting away with shit time and time again. Great show, but TW and TS were 50x better.

BOOM.

The Shield lost me after season two...it became ridiculous to me the shit that guy kept getting away with. It's supposed to be a gritty, realistic cop show, except that the main guy just magically skates through the most ridiculous things ever.

The Wire....No matter what direction it took, was just so well done, detailed and layered it was head and shoulders above everything else.

The Sopranos.....was great but wildly inconsistent

A few younger girls can be very pretty. But most tend to get a little hefty approaching late 20's. Do have the Semitic features, like most of the mid-east; nose, eyes mostly. Very business wise people.

The Wire season 2 is severely underrated. It is slower paced than season 1 but just as deep when it comes to social commentary.

I will admit that Season 5 of The Wire is the weakest of all but the newspaper was a pivotal part of the season because the newspaper represented an old institution that had fallen and could no longer be relied on.  All 5 of the seasons of The Wire focused in large part on the breakdown of old mainstay institutions in the U.S. (police, schools, jails, unions, media, government) and the effect that this institutional breakdown has had over time on different demographics of society.

The Wire is deep......
