The same thing happened to me with the post office on a couple of occasions. They are too fucking lazy to go to the door so they leave a note in your mailbox to pick it up. Unfortunately my package had cold packs and had been exposed to the heat all day while sitting in the fuckers mail van. When I went to the post office I was told I had to wait till tomorrow when I asked why I was told the carrier hadn't returned from his route. This lazy peice of shit wouldn't even check to see if it was there he just assumed it wasn't. I started getting pissed and asked him how at 10 min to 5:00pm the carrier still wasn't finished with his route and called him out in front of everybody so he took his lazy ass back and of course it was there.

not always true. I used to live in an apartment were to the door went straight into the living room. Couch was 2 feet form the door. the guy would just stick a note on the door and leave. No knock, no ringing, no calling me from the gate. nothing, he would just stick a note a leave. I caught him one time. I heard him putting the note of the door, and quickly when out side. Dude didn't even have my large envelope with him. He had to go get it from the truck. Fucking asshole, i should have reported his ass.

another time he stick a huge box by my door and stick a small potted plant i had on top of it.
