Unreal.  Of course their going to hide behind the "safety" bullshit.  Libs hate the 1st amendment, unless they want to use it themselves.

and yet somehow you are also against giving subpoena power to the National Commission on the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and Offshore Drilling

how does that work?

maybe you're really a double agent for Obama's commie agenda and all your inane ranting about Obama intentionally collapsing the system is just a ruse to make the whole idea look utterly ridiculous so no one will take it seriously

so far your plan is working perfectly

kudos to you comrade

My guess would be, BP's agreement to give up billions to the government fund was done with the acceptance that no more press be allowed to film the area.  It's damage control by BP and i'm sure other oil companies, they don't want anymore images sullying their name or the name of big oil so they've tightened the screws on the white house.  This is the democracy we live in and have lived in for decades.
Abandon every hope...

well our Supreme Court has said the corporations are people and I guess foreign corporations are people too.

So, foreign corporate "persons" seem to have more power that the actual human citizens of the country

seems like corporate persons (even foreigners and by definition - non-citizens)actually get more rights than actual human persons and somehow are immune from our investigation by our press as well

I wonder why that is?

No one takes him serious anyway.  Poor chap.  All the ranting and raving he does and people simply dismiss it as they would do an elderly aunt with Alzhiemers disease talking about her imaginary children.

Give him a smile.  A little "tee-hee" and just wait for his next little bullshit out burst.

I'm pretty sure 333 has some actual emotional or mental problems
there are plenty of borderline people walking around who haven't committed any crimes or anything and can sort of function in the world but when you talk with them you quickly realize they are as crazy as a shithouse rat.

Amazing to get this overly long winded rant from Anderson cooper... If only he spent as much time covering REAL NEWS as opposed to the ambulance chasing he normally does he would seem more credible. The theatrics both he and CNN deliver is more poor entertainment than anything else.

No, I said we should investigate both BP and your hero obama for their negligence after the oil is cleaned up and the mess taken care of.  the freaking well is not even capped yet.

So good diversion asswipe.  Now you can see that Obama is as bad as Bush, if not worse.  Must be hard to stomach no?

Lurker - you are not exactly a beacon or oracle of intelligence, and that's being nice.

As for this clip, it speaks for itself.  Obama = Bush, but worse.

Bro - with all due respect - you are a complete moron if you think AC's reporting on the cover up and govt regs now banning reporters from covering the spill and doing everything to hamper their efforts is not real news.

maybe you supported an investigation on another thread but on this thread linked below you seem to be against it:

right now, yes, since all efforts from all congresspeople, agencies, etc should be on stopping the spill, and getting the mess cleaned up.

After we get the well capped and the spill cleaned up, investigate everyone, including BP and Obama.

you know we can do more than one thing at a time

the people on the commission (whoever they are) aren't going to be the ones to solve the problem of the spill

better to investigate ASAP rather than letting memories fade, evidence destroyed and political will compromised (the Repubs are already busy apologizing to BP and blocking subpoenas)

Fine, have a commission, although obama campaigned against them.

Most of these things never accomplish a damn thing and far more will be discovered in litigation proceedings in trial court than this nonsense.

All it will do is waste millions of dollars to draw some vague and obscure conclusion that neither proves nor accomplishes anything .

TSA to Block "Controversial Opinion" on the Web

(Credit: CBS News) The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is blocking certain websites from the federal agency's computers, including halting access by staffers to any Internet pages that contain a "controversial opinion," according to an internal email obtained by CBS News.

The email was sent to all TSA employees from the Office of Information Technology on Friday afternoon.

It states that as of July 1, TSA employees will no longer be allowed to access five categories of websites that have been deemed "inappropriate for government access."

The categories include:

• Chat/Messaging

• Controversial opinion

• Criminal activity

• Extreme violence (including cartoon violence) and gruesome content

• Gaming

The email does not specify how the TSA will determine if a website expresses a "controversial opinion."

There is also no explanation as to why controversial opinions are being blocked, although the email stated that some of the restricted websites violate the Employee Responsibilities and Conduct policy.

The TSA did not return calls seeking comment by publication time.

take off your tin foil hat 333

many large companies (and small ones too) block internet access and various other progrems such as IM .  I have many friends who work at banks (for example) where they block things as benign as access to hotmail
