A total lie. From 2000-2006 the economy was in fine shape with good job growth.

No.

it was not sustainable.   He borrowed a shitload from 00 to 06.

You're saying if repubs retained control of white house and congress from 00 til 2010, things would be great today?

n oway.  that kind go borrowing was unsustainable.

Don't know for sure, but it definately would not be cap & trade, obamacare, and creating such massive uncertainty in the business world with respect to the tax code.  They probably would have codified the bush tax cuts.

Straw - do you have any idea the massive tax wall coming in 2011?

cap and trade was a Republican idea and as of yet, isn't in effect

other than that you're basically admitting you have no clue what they would do (I I doub they do either) to fix the massive pile of shit that their policies helped create

How would codifying the Bush tax cuts help reduce the deficit and debt when they actually helped exacerbate the problem in the first place?

It would have been about a trillion times better then it is now.Obama took borrowing to an entirely new level.

What I find amazing,is that Bush tried to do something about Fanny and Freddy, tried to do something about social security and libs stopped him everytime.YES his prescription drug plan SUCKS!!!!! AND HIS SPENDING WAS SILLY AS HELL.But Bush never declared war on the private sector like Obama has.

Bush spent like an idiot, but still had an atmosphere that was  good for the  private sector.Obama spends FAR more and is openLy hostile to the private sector. So,the Obama spending is actually far worse because he also destroys the ability to get any money to government from taxes because buisiness isnt doing crap.Sadly, its all being done ON PURPOSE.

No, the increased spending exacerbates the problem.

i don't care if Christ himself proposed crap and tax - its a horrible idea and a fraud.

And sometimes, doing nothing is far worse than doing "something" like obama and the dems are.

Straw - Mort Zuckerman,. Imelt, & Babs, all of who supported and campaigned for Obama are now saying his policies are awful and making things worse.

I'll take the opinions of people actually in business over yours any day.

Face it - obama is a disaster for private business.

The economy was already going into the tank when good ol' Billy Bob Clinton left office.

Not that Bush was great by any means but it's amusing how that always goes ignored.

it's true..... clinton had a good run, but it did dump with that whole dot com bust 3 weeks before Bush took office.  Def on clinton's watch.

Still, those charts showing what kind fo borrowing we started in 2001... it's sickening.  Most ppl screaming about obama's rate of debt increase were quiet for 8 years as Bush wrecked clinton's record.
