They are afraid to actually COMPETE in a fair, tough series with an equal opponent...they want to be like the Dream Team and just roll over everybody while laughing it up. Is it any coincidence they are all non-whites ??

Still, a lot of Euro guys might be willing to come here for 2 years and win a ring, make a name for themselves playing for the minimum salary, then get a big deal.

And there are a lot of 5 or 7 year NBA vets, guys financially set for life, who may be willing to play for minimum for 3 years in order to get a ring. Guys like nate robinson (BOS), Zydrunas, Tracy Mcgrady. Rich jefferson from Spurs... Josh Howard would be a great one. Maybe a Mike Miller or some other big white guy as center.

So while i agree it'll be like the Dream team that got the bronze, if they can get guys to play dirt cheap, they can't help but win 1 when they should win 4.

I'm very torn on this. On one hand you have guys that passed on money for the chance to be a champion. That's very rare for athletes these days, and quite refreshing to see.
On the other hand... Magic, Bird, Jordan, Kobe... All guys who had teams built around them and became champions. They were center pieces to greatness. No matter how many titles these guys win, I will not be able to include them in that list.

What was he supposed to will Cleveland to the top with? Outside of Lebron, that team was a joke. It's amazing that he even managed to get them to the eastern conference finals with the cans he had playing alongside him. There wasn't a single guy on that team that could step-up and take some of the load off LeBron.

And as great as Jordan was, he always had a terrific supporting cast. Same for Kobe and pretty much every other great champion.
