Okay lets get it straight fellows. Renee Tennison DID NOT beat out Pam Anderson for Playmate of the Year. Lisa Matthews did. Renee posed in Nov. 1989 to qualify her for POTY for 1990. Pam first appeared in Playboy in Feb of 1990 which put her in the running for POTY 1991 which was won by Lisa. Also, it isn't always the best looking that wins POTY. It is a fan based vote from what I understand. And Pam must not be that bad if she has appeared on the cover of Playboy more than anyone else. And she didn't qualify for any other POTY even though she appeared in other issues because she was a celebrity. She got the part in Home Improvement when they saw her in Playboy. She worked on that show the first two seasons and then was replaced by someone I worked with named Debbie Dunning who was also my friends girlfriend. So there you have it. By the way, less than 1/10000000 of the population knows who Renee is while nearly everyone knows who Pam is. I think that is a little (in fact ALOT) more important than winning the POTY
