Felons Voting Illegally May Have Put Franken Over the Top in Minnesota, Study Finds By Ed Barnes July 12, 2010

The six-month election recount that turned former "Saturday Night Live" comedian Al Franken into a U.S. senator may have been decided by convicted felons who voted illegally in Minnesota's Twin Cities.

That's the finding of an 18-month study conducted by Minnesota Majority, a conservative watchdog group, which found that at least 341 convicted felons in largely Democratic Minneapolis-St. Paul voted illegally in the 2008 Senate race between Franken, a Democrat, and his Republican opponent, then-incumbent Sen. Norm Coleman.

The final recount vote in the race, determined six months after Election Day, showed Franken beat Coleman by 312 votes -- fewer votes than the number of felons whose illegal ballots were counted, according to Minnesota Majority's newly released study, which matched publicly available conviction lists with voting records.

Furthermore, the report charges that efforts to get state and federal authorities to act on its findings have been "stonewalled."

I'm not even gonna bother to respond to your childish post above. The point of the thread is that you make an assertion that something was illegal with Franken's election and you put on the table a finding of a CONSERVATIVE group???????????????  How can anyone take you seriously on something like this?? I'm sure all the judges and people involved in settling that dispute were all democrats and making sure Norm Coleman loses...right?  :o Fuckin left wing conspiracy to kick out all republicans...Give me a break.  8) Your approach to ANYTHING democratic is so hateful it clearly impaires your judgement in some cases.

Once it was determined in court IMO that was a perfectly clear result.

If it is shown that illegal inmates voted in a number exceeding the difference in the vote tally between Coleman and Franken, don't you think it is a fair conclusion to say Coleman should have won considering criminals overwhelmingly vote RAT?

30 people charged with election fraud in Ramsey County (MN)
pioneer press ^ | 7-13-10 | jason hoppin

The Ramsey County attorney's office has charged 30 people with election fraud in connection with the 2008 general election, a top official there said Monday.

The charges are the result of an ongoing investigation that included 746 referrals, mostly from an election reform-minded conservative group, Minnesota Majority. The investigation currently occupies four taxpayer-funded staffers within the county attorney's office, with Phil Carruthers, director of the prosecutions division, saying he wants to add two or three part-time investigators.

"It's a huge project," Carruthers said.

The news surfaced after long-standing, and largely discredited, allegations that Minnesota's 2008 U.S. Senate election was tainted by fraud were renewed Monday by a Fox News online report and amplified by the state Republican Party.

To what?  This thread is about Franken, not your claims of voting for Bush, that are probably as credible as your military record.

I actually agree with Blacken on this.Franken put his kooky views up for a vote in an election. He didnt spew his beliefs at award shows,he put them up for the public to vote for or against him. They voted for him.He has balls!!Perhaps he stole a few votes WOW really? In politics?Who would have thought.

The bottom line is that Coleman couldnt beat a guy that was viewed as a clown. What does that say about Coleman?Franken beat him, period!Sorry, all this crying makes republicans look like a bunch of pussies.
