Obama isn't doing anything other than following orders. America was and has been nothing more than a idea, a project, a business model that has now reached its end. Like it or not it is being systematically dismantled and turned into another model of which a title has yet to be affixed. China, India are already the new technology, electronics, manufacturing giants, wealth has already been shifted to other nations (worlds richest man is Mexican) and much of Africa has now been lifted from poverty. Very interesting book that details a lot of what is going on in the world that he americans are totally unaware of as they are still living in the "DREAM" of america as opposed to the REALITY of america.

The Post-American World
By Fareed Zakaria

# ISBN-10: 0393334805
# ISBN-13: 978-0393334807

"This is not a book about the decline of America, but rather about the rise of everyone else." So begins Fareed Zakaria's important new work on the era we are now entering. Following on the success of his best-selling The Future of Freedom, Zakaria describes with equal prescience a world in which the United States will no longer dominate the global economy, orchestrate geopolitics, or overwhelm cultures. He sees the "rise of the rest"—the growth of countries like China, India, Brazil, Russia, and many others—as the great story of our time, and one that will reshape the world. The tallest buildings, biggest dams, largest-selling movies, and most advanced cell phones are all being built outside the United States. This economic growth is producing political confidence, national pride, and potentially international problems. How should the United States understand and thrive in this rapidly changing international climate? What does it mean to live in a truly global era? Zakaria answers these questions with his customary lucidity, insight, and imagination.

The Post-American World is a non-fiction book by Indian American journalist Fareed Zakaria. It was published in hardcover and audiobook formats in early May 2008 and became available in paperback in early May 2009. In the book, Zakaria argues that, thanks to the actions of the United States in spreading liberal democracy across the world, other countries are now competing with the US in terms of economic, industrial, and cultural power. While the US continues to dominate in terms of political-military power, other countries such as China and India are becoming global players in many fields.

Such an idiot.  If it wasn't for America pushing globalization those countries like China, Brazil and India etc would still be sh*t holes with economies run by peasants.  Never forget where your bread it buttered as an export country.

So he did appear in the pic with that book?

Once again 333 it's about CONTEXT.  The book isn't about the destruction of America but you posting it, believe it is.  Because like samson you've looked at the cover and not the whole picture so to speak.

Yes, the picture is real and he is holding this book.  But this book is not what some people are claiming, as you can see above.

Maybe, maybe not.  I don't know about all that, but what is "the task in the book"?  The book is not about what the title implies.  If anything, the book is pro-American, written by an American.

I just love the responses on this thread...clearly many are scared shitless of america being no more...lololol. THe title of the book makes it clear what the book is about. Not one of you has read it yet each is offering opinions based on FEAR rather than FACT. America is practically no more as it is. It manufactures nothing, it has depleted its resources, it has swindled itself into bankruptcy, it has indebted itself to practically every nation on the planet and now it is in freefall with nothing to stop it. Post America means a world where other nations now lead and america at best will follow and be in subjection to. Your american fantasy is and was just that...A FANTASY. Prepare for reality

LOL...the title of most books hardly ever make it clear what the book is about.  Editors make up catchy titles, regardless of the author's objections, to sell more books.  You obviously haven't read many books, including this book, but you don't have to read it to see that you are wrong about this book.  Just look up what the book is really about, read some reviews, read about the author, etc.

Actually, on this he/she is not based on the govts' awful policies regarding energy, domestic production of goods and manufacturing etc.  Cap & Trade alone is probably the most anti-job, anti caPitilism, anti-economy, anti-freedom, pofs bill ever put forth.

The policies of this disgusting pofs govt discourage domestic manufacturing and production in favor of BP, Goldman Sachs, etc.
