If that's a recent picture he's lost a ton of weight.

Going for the health look it seems.
This was about 2 years ago:

Has there been any substantiated news about a fight or is it just because he's in shape again?

He signed with Don King and rumored to fight Holyfield.

tyson looks to be in good shape but Holyfiels is still a warrior and I am afraid Mike doesn't have the drive to beat him.

Iron Mike is the fuckin man.

The documentary about him that came out last summer is a must see for anyone who is a fan of fighting.

The guy needs money and he is still a big draw. I hate to see a legend look like a shell of his former self, but what else can he do besides promote what's left of his name?

Don't know if he was the most exciting but certainly one of a kind. the built, the short size, his strange (and highly effective) defense and ultra fast for a HW once in the box. Too bad he got rid of kevin Rooney.

If he does comeback, we'll get all the usual shit about how in training he looks like he did in his prime; hows he's got his handspeed back; how he's moving his head like he did when he was with Rooney and how he's knocking out 37 sparring partners a day and we'll all try to forget that in his last fight he got tkod by Kevin McBride.

Kevin. Mc. Bride.

here's the deal:  if his heart is in it ala george foreman...he can be successful.  HWD is a joke and he has a puncher's chance...just like old george.  100M in purses n sponsor type deals like the Tyson Juicer, etc.  several tune-up wins and if he is SERIOUS...he can take the lesser of the russian brothers.

Yeah, it's frustrating hearing him get bashed by people who've never watched a full fight of him in his prime.  Anyone who was old enough to understand what was going on in the 80's remembers just how unbelievable Tyson was in his prime.

Watching highlight reels where half the clips are from a "past his prime" Tyson swinging wildly and occasionally connecting doesn't help.

It's fun to watch his knockouts on youtube....but watching him in a full fight was crazy.  His speed and power, not just on the knockout punches, was incredible.  Other fighters really were scared of him....top heavyweight boxers, actually looking frightened in the ring.

It's a shame what happened to him after the 80's.

Exactly....his movement was amazing.  You just didn't see heavyweights moving their heads like that.

Hell, he'd duck down almost until his head was at knee level sometimes....and of course put all the momentum of popping back up into his punches.

Tyson's fights in his prime had an edge to them that NO fighter since has....it was like watching to see if he would actually decapitate someone....like a ton of TNT, but you didn't know when it would go off.  He was plain f'n scary....

I don't remember exactly which fight it was (maybe against Holmes) but what I remember clearly is Tyson was ducking , his ass was almost touching the canvas and his opponent, much taller than him, desperately trying to land a punch.
