First off, your spelling is particularly atrocious tonight. Are you drinking? :-\

Second of all, who gives a shit. If you DID take UE, you would have every right, seeing as how you pay into it whether you like it or not.

What the fuck is his point? He has gotten EVERYTHING he has wanted, except for the public option in health care. But even that was his own party that prevented it. The Republicans arent getting in his way, because, quite frankly, they CANT get in his way. The problem is that everything he has done HAS NOT WORKED.

I have, unfortunately. But, I didn't do so for very long (although it felt like a century, while I was doing it).

The Republicans arent getting in his way, because, quite frankly, they CANT get in his way. The problem is that everything he has done HAS NOT WORKED.

And, therein lies the point. Obama is trying to save his fellow Democrats from what Michael Moore coined as, "an @$$-whipping of Biblical proportions" this fall. Since his stupid programs haven't worked, the Dems can't run on those as election points. So, all they can do is bash the Republicans and paint them as obstructionists.

It's also why you're hearing all this racial crap in the news. They're trying to get the black vote (which is usually MIA during midterms), because it's all they seem to have left. Obama's approval has NOSE-DIVED with whites (especially white women), Latinos, independents, and other demographics across the board. Unfortunately, the only ones still sheepishly propping up this guy are black voters. But, to quote CNN's Roland Martin, "when you broke as hell, you broke as hell". Too many African-Americans are rocking "Hope and Change" gear, while standing in unemployment lines. Try convincing them that this stimulus is working.

Since the Tea Party has had FAR more impact than the Dems could have ever imagined (with certain candidates in the hunt to pluck certain Dems from their perches), the tired old race card is the last-ditch effort, to fire up black people. Their absence is an effective vote for the Republicans and the Dems know it. Unfortunately for the left, poking the race-baiters right in the eye are those fools from the Neo-Black Panthers. Every time the NAACP, Sharpton, or the NBPP cry about racist signs (some of which they have yet to show actually exist) or the alleged racial slurs shouted at black Congressman, while heading to vote for ObamaCare, the Tea Party folks, black conservatives, and others can fire RIGHT BACK with the NBPP's lovely rhetoric about "You want freedom? You gonna have to kill some crackers; you gonna have to kill some of they babies". Not, to mention their heralding "brother" Osama Bin Laden.

Either I'm intoxicated or the Apocalypse is just around the bend. But, I actually agree with Michael Moore. If his prediction is correct, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. And, of course, Nancy Pelosi will stand there (plastic-faced and all) looking dumbfounded, wondering what happened.....not that there's anything wrong with that.

He and his party have failed. Look at the promises that were made and look, right now, at the results. Plain and simple.

Either way, the Democrats have BOTH HOUSES of Congress. How can the Republicans get in their way?

Dumb thread. You should know better.

Ahh...but you've shown yourself to be so smart here, haven't you Ziggy.  ::) Get the fuck out of here.  >:(

McMoron breaks it down that all Obama has is the Black vote. Interesting. Then how exactly are his approval ratings greater than any other single group in congress? Obama CRUSHES the GOP house (led by Jon BONER), trounces the GOP senate (led by Mitch "The Ghoul" McConnell"), and president Obama polls better than his own Democrat House and Senate.

GOP will pick a few house and senate seats that you can feel good about, but not enough to stop Obama from pushing the agenda freight train going. You GOP nut huggers will have to continue to say no...TO EVERYTHING...and then justify that to the American people come 2012. In addition to the Black vote, Obama will solidly have the Hispanic vote because of all the racist immigration laws the GOP supports. Obama has always had the under thirty-five vote, white, Black, Latino, and Asian. So if he pulls a sizable  percentage of white women to the DEM side, it's game over bros. Another inauguration to swear in our FIRST Black president for his second term.

They can't get in his way, dipshit. Not if the DEMS use the nuclear option, which the repubes will then cry and whine about.

Did you even listen to the video, "GiganticBlockhead?" You can cry "failure" until you are blue in the face, while the president is laying down legislative victory after victory. All sorts of initiatives to aid small businesses, and the repubes want to block it by not allowing an up or down vote. The dirtbag repubes do the same to unemployment insurance, blocking an up or down vote to extend UI, saying it'll cost money. So people starve, lose their homes, and God know what else, because these pieces of shit want to give tax breaks to the wealthiest Americans.

Great thread. Fuck off.

You should be the one crying "Skippy." All this legislation being passed, much with the help of your boy Scott "41" Brown pitching to help Obama. Obama has passed more meaningful legislation than has been passed in DECADES, and your repubes can't do SHIT. Sucks to be you!

Get a tissue! Wipe away those tears! Tomorrow's another day! Check his numbers among INDEPENDENTS, Einstein.

Independents have been turning away from President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party, frustrated with the economic downturn and administration initiatives, even in Pennsylvania where Obama won by double-digits two years ago. Sestak, a two-term congressman, has his work cut out for him.

Nationwide, a recent Pew Research Center survey showed Republicans with an edge over Democrats — 44 percent to 36 percent — among independents. At this point in 2006, independents backed Democrats 47 percent to 32 percent.

With independents so critical to victory, each Senate candidate is casting the other as an extreme ideologue out-of-step with voters on economic issues.

The under-35 vote (particluarly the 18-24 demographic) will likely dropped significantly, due to Obama's novelty wearing off (coupled by his economic policies actually HINDERING THEIR ABILITY to get jobs). As for white women, as stated earlier, that number is DROPPING for Obama as well, hovering around 35%.

If those trends among independents and white women continue, Obama is a good as DEAD.

Make no mistake about it. The Dems are in trouble, BIG TROUBLE. If the GOP can capitalize on this, you and the rest of the lefites are in for a rude awakening. But don't take my word for it:

Under pressure, the Democrats are cracking. On both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue, there is a realization that Nancy Pelosi's hold on the speakership is in true jeopardy; that losing control of the Senate is not out of the question; and that time, once the Democrats' best friend, is now their mortal enemy. Since January, when Scott Brown won Ted Kennedy's Massachusetts Senate seat, the President's party has tried to downplay in public what its pollsters have been saying in private: that Obama's alienation of independents and white voters, along with the enthusiasm gap between the right and the left, means that Republicans are on a trajectory to pick up massive numbers of House and Senate seats, perhaps even to regain control of Congress.

Evidence of the pervasiveness of this view: Sunday's New York Times op-ed page, which featured a series of short essays from leading Democratic and Republican strategists about how Obama could go about staging a political comeback, focused not on November's midterms but on 2012 — an indication that Washington conventional wisdom has already written off prospects of Democrats sustaining a majority in the legislature.........

After days of public intraparty acrimony, a cold peace has been restored, with Democrats all around saying they share the same goals and strategy for November. But if the party's poll numbers stay bad and it loses big, expect a fundamental difference between the White House and congressional Democrats to emerge in sharp relief after Nov. 2.

Even if the midterms end the Democrats' one-party rule, the President may well believe that his accomplishments during his first two years in office were worth it. But it's a sure bet that the vanquished House Democrats who lose their jobs and their gavels won't share that assessment.

Once again, O silly one, you must be inhaling the fumes of that sticky-icky.

Obama's numbers are plunging and the Dems are in big-time risk of losing the House, DESPITE "legislative victory after victory". Why? Because those alleged victories ain't helping the American people. MM2K mentioned this (as have several political pundits over the last several days). His programs HAVEN'T WORKED.

Obama passed the stimulus, a "legislative victory". Did it keep unemployment under 8 percent as promised? NO!!!

This coming from a guy that says his stimulus created "or saved" 3.5 million jobs. The problem is we know that since the stimulus passed 2 million net jobs have been lost. So,either he is stupid,or a liar.THERE IS NO RECOVERY.

What's worse. Word is that unemployment will likely be "officially" 9.5% for the rest of the year (best-case scenario: it lowers to 9.2%; WORST-CASE scenario, it could climb over 10% again).

I dont know why Biden and Obama just dont say the stimulus created 9 million jobs or 18,000,000 jobs,at this point its pretty much all lies anyway.Just go for the whole thing and see if Americans buy it.

Obama is delusional. He is in denial. Arrogant individuals like him always blame others instead of looking in the mirror.

And they had a SUPERMAJORITY for most of 2009.

There you have it.
