Bb has gone to the dogs......
the late 60s/early 70s were def the golden years.....
there's been aa few highlights since (flex '93, dorian '93, Ray '95, ronnie '99) but for most part, its just fucked up.....Paco is the perfect example of how it can go all so wrong.....Kovacs, Palumbo, even Ruhl......mass monsters who look dont have a clue
Every past era says the same stuff about the bodybuilders that succeed them. The guys from the 40s and 50s were talking that same junk about the "golden years", when Arnold and Sergio were competing. They, in turn, said the same things about guys from the 80s and 90s. Now those guys are blubbering this same stuff about the competitors from the 2000s.
I wish some folks would make up their minds. Why used guys like Paco Bautista as example? I supposed people forgot about guys like Toney Freeman, Phil Heath, and Melvin Anthony, guys who have size and shape. Then, there's Dexter Jackson. I mean, all he did was win the Olympia two years ago.
Some people just complain, because their favorite guy hasn't won the big one yet. And, they'll do that, no matter what (unless their guy wins). When Jay Cutler is Mr. Olympia, he's a "fridge" with feet. When Dexter Jackson wins, he's a "ninja turtle" who's too small.
I guess what they say is true: Everything old is new again.
