Do Pros have to pay for hotel at shows?
« on: July 19, 2010, 07:04:36 AM »
IE. tampa pro.

do they pay for travel and hotel for these shows?

Most people are lucky to win 1000 bucks.  It cost that much just to travel and stay at a decent hotel in Tampa.

Like gyms, most hotels will recognize they are professional athletes and comp the room.

Only in the 10k shows and it depends.  Some promoters pay top bodybuilders to compete in their show and provide hotel, meals, transportation, etc.  The Olympia or the Arnold Classic doesn't pay any competitor expenses

Are you sure Vince? Do they get perdium (sp?) or do they actually get a driver waiting for them at the airport?

Ha Ha.  Hell no they don't get a driver or even a rental car.  They either get a shuttle bus ticket or reimbursed for a taxi cab (usually bus fare).  I rode the shuttle bus one time sitting next to Darrem Charles and one highly pissed off David Henry.

100% wrong, Vince...

Both the ASC and Olympia pay ALL the expenses for the show...hotel, airfare, and 150/ per diem.

Circuit shows are subject to the promoter...some pay hotel/ air, etc...some dont. Most cases, they will pay for a certain amount of pro's...

BoB,

Would you agree that most shows can barely break even from ticket sales? THerefore how would it be worth their while to subsidize the travel costs of a Pro bber?

yes, no show can break even with ticket sales...that said, it's the sponsor money that makes up the majority of revenue, not ticket sales.

You are full of shit.  The Arnold and Olympia are invitational events (or you have to qualify).  The airfare, hotel and maybe some meals with some kind of per diem is paid to each competitor.  That is what happens at an invitational event.  If a pro or celebrity is invited to an event they do  not pay shit.  And all transportation to and from the event is taken care of.  See Goodrum you are talking out of your ass again.  Fuck you are stupid.

Goodrum most of the time doesn't know what he is talking about - hence no one takes him seriously.

Yes, the Arnold and Olympia take very good care of the competitors.

Smaller shows are different.   Professional bodybuilders, if they are a self employed business, can deduct the expenses. All competitors market themselves. Get the good sponsorship deals, the right contracts, endorsements, etc.

Some of the athletes have their room and expenses covered by their sponsors or endorsement companies, and some don't.

Vince, will you be competing in the Negro homo Classic this year? And if so, do they cover hotel, meal, transportation, dildo's, anal lube etc etc?

I can guarantee you this is a lie.  No way ever would those guys be caught dead on the same bus as you no matter what.  Maybe this is one of your dreams you seem to have alot.  Have you ever dressed Vissy up as a black bodybuilder so you can say you've had sex with one.  Or maybe deress Vissy up as a life-sized grapefruit
