i dont know in USA but in SPAIN  at amatuer level at the nationals competitors get paid hotel and food, for the week end, why shouldnt it be the same for the pros when there is only 20 pros more aless in a competition, last spanish nationals allmost 200 competitors, with hotel paid by organitation.

agree 100%. However, if I was a promoter and I found out one of the competitors NEVER trained a certain body part(Calves)in there life time and may not ever know how to, then I probably wouldn't let then compete in my show. Let alone let them speak at a seminar

100% wrong, Vince...

Both the ASC and Olympia pay ALL the expenses for the show...hotel, airfare, and 150/ per diem.

Circuit shows are subject to the promoter...some pay hotel/ air, etc...some dont. Most cases, they will pay for a certain amount of pro's...

For every competitor!!!  When did they start doing that for the ASC and Olympia ??  I asked a few competitors at the expo and they told me that they had to front all of their expenses which mainly came from their sponsors.

If that's the case, then why are so many competitors skipping the Olympia and the ASC for??

Yes, the Arnold and Olympia take very good care of the competitors.

Smaller shows are different.   Professional bodybuilders, if they are a self employed business, can deduct the expenses. All competitors market themselves. Get the good sponsorship deals, the right contracts, endorsements, etc.

Some of the athletes have their room and expenses covered by their sponsors or endorsement companies, and some don't.

I do know that this forum is running slower than my Ford Escort I had when I got out of the Army as well as keeping my sites from being hacked into and shut down for a week

Sorry, but I still don't believe that every competitor is being compensated for airfare and travel.  Maybe some competitors but not all if any at all.

Chick would no better than anyone else on what the pro's get paid......what more proof do you need?

Btw, Getbig is keeping your sites from being hacked? That doesn't even make sense.

At most smaller shows NOTHING gets paid, the competitors have to cover all of their expenses themselves.

That's the reason why many many European BBs stay in the Amateur ranks eventough having pro potential, cause for International Amateur contests they get paid everything (flight, hotel,..) from their national federation, while turning pro and competing in pro shows they get nothing.

If you don't have the potential of a Dennis Wolf and have the genetics and looks for getting major supplement contracts and place in the Top 3-5 of the Arnolds or Olympia, it makes ZERO sense for any European BB to turn pro, acting as cannon fodder for the places 12-15 at 3rd tier shows.

Look at Paco, brought insane size and conditioning, travels from Spain to Tampa paying himself for his flight, hotel, and everything else, and is sent back home with an 8th place, ZERO price money or anything else. What's the point?? Without a sponsor and plenty of exposure they won't ever let him in a final in the US, no matter how good he looks. Why doesn't he compete as an Amateur in European or World Championships, getting paid for all of his expenses and fights there for the Top spots instead of getting overlooked at fucking hicksville shows in the US.

Yes, Vince...every competitor. The only exception being the 202, which is fairly new...mens open, womens BB, fitness, figure all have hotel, airfare, and per diem covered....at the ARNOLD, ALL competitors.

Competitors choose to skip the big shows for a variety of reasons...

Only in the 10k shows and it depends.  Some promoters pay top bodybuilders to compete in their show and provide hotel, meals, transportation, etc.  The Olympia or the Arnold Classic doesn't pay any competitor expenses

Well, things have changed for the better which is good for the industry.  But I have to correct you in stating that I was 33% correct as far as the 10k shows are concerned.

You are a LOSER.  Even in this sentance you accept being just 33% right as a victory.  Once a loser ALWAYS a loser.  You are a fucking moronic imbecile idiot.  First off no fucking pro would be caught dead talking or seen with you.  You are hated by everyone, don't you see that.  If by chance they said that then it is obvious they were fucking with you.  You are that stupid.  What a fucking embarrassment you are.  No wonder your family ignores you and don't tell you about family reunions.  Who in their right mind would ever want to admit they are associated with you.  You are a fucking liar and you have been caught again.  Even Ron who never says anything negative about anyone concurs you are a liar.  Get the fuck out of here.  You poison this place.

I just get so sick of his bullshit.  I literally hate anyone like him who pretends and talks to people like he is an expert in everything when in fact he has no experience in anything he talks about.  He puts hi two cents in topic he has no idea anything about.  He just makes up shit and then gets caught doing it.  He is truly a mental case and would love it if someone would just shut him up.  In real life he could no way talk the way he can on the internet.  His bullshit can continue as long as he can type.  He wouldn't last a minute acting like he does in real life.

I may be wrong you idiot but you have to qualify for both contests.  Of course you wouldn't know that cause you have never placed higher than last in everything you have done.  So I am pretty sure most of the guy skipping these contests did not qualify.
