I'm a fan of Jay and I hope he win's Olympia no.4 but I've got to be honest - his training intensity in that clip was abysmal. No passion at all, just going through the motions more than anything. i appreciate he's smart and a businesman etc but there's only so far you can coast along on your genetics and drugs.
tough line to walk when you lift weights everyday for 10 - 20 years and to put 100% intensity into 100% of your workouts is tough, injury becomes a factor sometimes you have to push it to the limit and back off a lil. everything evens out in the end, you have to look at the big long term picture when your a pro in anything. you could have killer balls to the wall train session and not be able to train for next 3 days or train with 80% everyday with no break, you'll bank more workouts. its like money one big score of 50k or 10 smaller scores of 5k over the span of a year.
sometimes you get great workouts and next one may be less that but you still trained. bottom line is hes 3x mr o in the biz for almost 2?decades now, he knows his body and has a good mind muscle connect. interested to see how he shows up this years.
