I had oral surgery done twice. Had braces and a tooth that wasn't coming out, so they had to cut through the gum (actually they used what looked like a mechanical sander on my gum and had to sand through my gum down to my tooth) and then put a bracket on that tooth thats inside the gum, attach it to the rest of the braces and pull it out. Few years later my gum closed up and I had to get the procedure done again.
Both times they never knocked me out, used local anesthesia, like literally 20 shots in the gum to numb it. Even with all those shots that shit still hurt during the process, and you could feel that sander/drill going through the gum and touching the bone/tooth. And it hurt waaay more afterwards and I had to get an Oral cast (yeah try figuring that out). As the dentist worked I thought my heart was going to rip out of my chest it was pounding so hard and fast. Only positive thing was that the nurse present was a hot ass black chick. But even the view wasn't enough to make it comfortable.
Can honestly say those were some of the worst experiences I've ever gone through, sucks now because I built a phobia towards dentists and I avoid going at all costs (which is not a good thing).
