When did Lisa Whelchel (Blair) get fat? I certainly don't remember and I met her in 2005 at a homeschool conference (at which she was the guest speaker) in Orlando.

She was still gorgeous!! Incidentally, someone mentioned the whole virginity thing and the TV show. According to Whelchel, the writers originally wanted to have Blair lose her virginity. But Whelchel refused to do the part. And since she was the major cog of the show, they changed the script to have Natalie be the one who got de-flowered, so to speak.

As for Kim Fields ("Tootie"), the problem for her on the show was the suits were trying to keep her in the sweet, cute, little girl role....while her breasts were getting bigger than her head. Hence, they kept having her wear oversized clothes. But, after a while, even that didn't help.

Hanks, MCWay Blair got fat on the "grown up" Facts of Life, you know he one with the twink on it. She was still cute, but all of them got big, to a certain degree, Jo was the one who gained the least. Kim Fields was the only one that put the weight in the right places (up front)

As I've noticed on this thread, certain folks have a strange sense of what is considered "fat". Wasn't there some big debate, no that long ago, about a how "fat" a Brazilian girl (whose behind is named after a watermelon) is?

I knew a guy who was cousins with the chick that played Blair.  He had some pics from family get togethers....this was mid-90's and even a little chunky, she was still pretty.

Unless, I'm mistaken, Fields put too much weight up front and had to have her boobs reduced.
