Nicknames are cool, especially if the competitor likes it. It gives them more publicity, and hype the contests even more sometimes. Nicknames are common in many sports, and rarely do I here people complain about them.
nicknames are cool if they evolve organically or sprout from some cool event or happening...............
.they are lame when EVERYONE is assigned one
"hurry up, we gotta think of a nickname for this guy"...............its just the lamest thing imaginable, trying to create personalities in the sport, trying to mimick professional wrestling
every pro is assigned a cool
nickname by flex magazine or lonnie schmoer, and it just so painfully lame
