Wow 4 exercises were with machines and one with a barbell. That's terrible. "He won't peel" either. That video was hardly worth watching  >:(

Funny at the start when drinking and says "Jim Beam". He is a massive fucker no doubt. But who else is waiting for him to come in to full, waste another year, fire his guru and then bitch about them after. Hope he gets his act together....

Fucking it up two years in a row should have taught him something. Is he burnt out or as he got the potential to go back to his 2007 shape? He looks massive but the only thing that matters is how he'll show up on stage. 30% chance I'll say that he will prove us wrong.

His back reflects the workout he just did
these current pros are so sissy and lazy huge massive man messing about on maching working for the "peak contractions" he better get his ass under some heavy deadlifts rows and dumbell rows... Like Coleman Dorian and culter has done notice culter back didn't come up till he copied Coleman doing those t bar rows in the corner also heavy dumbell rows and barbell rows
weak workout = lacking back (for a pro)
choice is an illusion

For Jay, DL with 3 plates per side is not much I guess and his dumbell rows are far from being heavy. And those guys don't want to get injured so close to the contest I guess also. Then there's the genetic; sure, you'll get some noticeable results from the heavy training but I'd pretty much bet that it's mostly how their body reacts to gear which is responsible for both their strong and weak parts.

I have videos of jay doin 405 deads at the END of his workout and jay is a column worked he does a lot of excercises I've seen him do like 12 diff excersises for back in a workout decent weights
that workout wolf just did isn't the workout of a man with a weak back for a pro

like I said he had better get his azz under some deadlifts and heavy rows
I HATE seeing these new pros workout big as he'll but sissy talking about peak contraction all that bullshit that's why Coleman = greatest of all time lift fucking heavy. Dorian lifted heavy culter lifts relatively heavy ... As much as people hate to hear this part of having big muscles equals lifting some kind of heavy weights
all the gurus etc can't change that two men with the greatest backs are testament to this Coleman and yates.  Today's pros lazy as fuck
choice is an illusion

Zack Kahn is a new pro that trains heavy.

I think Wolf will place very high. He's 297lbs 8 weeks out.

Who knows, Wolf may have hurt his lower back squatting, or rowing in his previous back session. So for this workout (in the video) he decided to train lighter on back this particular workout. We dont know. He is dieting after all.

I think he will regroup.

I was actually wondering about that and about to post a thread to ask a question. As a natty, I have no idea what the evolution in drugs have been since the Arnold days. Most of those guys didn't train heavy though, it was a lot of volume. And it's only when Mentzer (not matter how fucked up his brain was) and then Platz came along that you saw a real difference in muscular density (guys like Zane could get ripped but not with Mentzer's density or Platz's legs). Back then, it seems judges didn't care much for that and then came Dorian who just nailed the mass/density/conditioning thing. And Coleman of course. Seems like today, all pro's have to do is get the right gear combo and they'll show up with at least the illusion of density but then don't even train that heavy it seems or not often. Maybe it's also that just what they're using allows them to lift heavier on an average workout than even what powerlifter of the '70s could do with what they had at their disposal back then. Still, the little extra in terms of muscle size and density (Branch for example) can only come from heavy training. If anyone knows, post please.

Wolf had a major back injury in 2008 he never talked about in public. That was the reason why his back got tremendously worse after the 2007 Olympia, and that's why I highly doubt he'll ever be competitve again.

Here's a video of jay doin 5 plates for 7-8 reps on deads... http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2hged_deadlifts_sport

After those he does t-bar rows in the corner with 9 plates, heavy db rows, heavy barbell rows... Jay is a hard ass worker in the gym, I don't care what anyone says.

he just overdieted at the NY pro show. If he came in 15lbs heavier... Where he normally weighs... He probably wouldve won

Well my take is first all the pros have superior genetics. Most of them would be above the rest without drugs. Now throw the drugs in with the genetics and thats what most pros are poor exercise form, drugs and genetics. The Mentzer's, Dorian, Platz and Ronnie used heavy weights and intensity hence their domination above the rest although Platz was mostly legs. Intensity, progression, heavy weights and genetics = results not even going down the drug path.

Are you kidding, geek? Wolfs back is completely gone (colemanesque), and that has nothing to do with overdieting or not. He had a disc prolapse in 2008 and wasn't able to train properly since then, and that's the reason why he'll never be back.

In 2007 he crushed every line-up from the rear (including Cutler), that was him at the NY Pro this year:

Probably but what I'm wondering is if the evolution in drugs has changed the way pros train in general. Are there drugs that give a certain quality to the muscle which allows pros to bypass or do less heavy training (in comparison to their muscle mass of course)? Can you achieve the kind of density that guys like Platz or Mentzer had back then just by using the right gear combo today. It seems also a lot of pros don't periodize at all which is impossible if you want to make gains as a natty.

Yes to the drug question. But genetics are always determining up front.
