The Mr USA
« on: July 30, 2010, 05:17:05 PM »
This years Mr USA is going to be a hard show to win this year. You would think with the economy being a lil sluggish it would lower the amount of competitors.Intead its increased greatly.
The superheavyweight class is crazy. You got Blair Mone back, Dustry Hnashaw fresh off his victory at the JR'S ,Robert Burneika, Steve Kuclo, who looks good, then you got Jaon HUH, 5'7" 257lbs, holy shit !!!!I wouldnt want to be in thaty class. The only way to win that class is to be 250 plus lbs.
I have seen all these guys in person and there are all enormous.Robert Burneika and Blair Mone both look like cartoon character in person. They are wider then they are tall.
I heard Dusty Hanshaw weighed over 260lbs.
Who ever wins this show would definatly make a great pro, and even have a good pro career.I think just for fun they should let the winner compete at the Mr Olympia.I know the few guys I metioned are as big as most pro's, and better conditioned then Melvin Anthony, and Jay 06.

I heard a rumor that you took Robert Burneika up the ass with Billy Smith and Jim Quinn watching at Golds Gym Venice?

Burnieka looks like pooh and looked soft as usual last night. You forgot to mention Keith Williams and the probably best conditioned guy in the class, Chad Lacount. Those 2 could easily be first and second.

NZ, I thought we were cool.I know 'ewe' like to help the lil bo peep over the fence.
For the record, Robert Burneika worked with Dennis Wolfe for this show.So I have no idea how he will look or do.It is totally out of my hands.I helped out Robert Last year, this year, he started training with Dennis Wolfe??????? Who works with Chad, and has bombed his last 2 shows.SO, dont blame me if he is off.

NZ, this is for "ewe"

Sorry, Getiton, but I didn't see that you had already started this USA post so I started another one to give a half-assed report on this evening's men's prejudging.

I'll say once again that the contestants looked a hell of a lot better than how they appeared in the weigh in photos that were posted on Flexonline.com, but no one contestant stood out as the overall winner. And even attempting to forecast the wt class winners proved somewhat difficult.

And this seemed to be the general consensus among the fans I spoke with once the prejudging concluded...... No single contestant stood out among the others, so this year the overall winner is still a mystery as far as most of us were concerned.

I hope to post a more intelligent update tomorrow night if I get back at a reasonable hour.

This contest is setting a world wide record for the number of entries... a total of approximately 550.

Willgrant, I have no idea why Robert decided to work with Dennis Wolfe.I think he is doing it for publicity, or to try to get signed with BSN.I told Robert to be careful training with Dennis Wolfe because Dennis bombed his last 2-3 contests.I look at it this way, if you got a guru your working with and he got you from 4 th place  to 2nd and brought your contest weight from 241lbs to 254 lbs from the USA to Nationals 4 months later. You had you all time best condition.I would stick with that guru.
I cant get into Roberts head. All I know is he looked good at this years USA, but he looked 25% better at last years Nationals.Like I aid before, Dennis works with Chad, and Chad uses the cookie cutter approach.Thats why he is either hit or miss.
I wish Robert the best of luck, he is a great atlhete, but I think Jason Huh will beat him imo.Jason is bigger, harder, and fuller.Robert looks flatJason looks full, tight, and his glutes are in

Unsung, your an idiot.!!! Listen I helped Robert last year, he looked his all time best. This year he wanted to train with Wolfe. To be honest with you, I dont like working with bodybuilders. For many reasons. One they dont listen, and two, they will do something that you tell them not to do.Totally mess up there contest prep, then blame it on you.Even though, they are the ones who fu$% up.With bodybuilders, you have to take reason and accountability out of the equation.
I would rather work with pro athletes, like Baseball players, Football Players, and Fighters. They will cut you a check right then and there without blinking an eye, and they listen to what you say.
They respect your time, and dont jerk you around.Everything is cut and dry.
They pay $ they dont want $

I wouldn't be braggin about Robert. He;s always smooth and condition's poor and doesn't make any trainer look good who is responsible for his conditioning.

Dude, melt a little more.

Burneika Burneika Burneika STILL needs to drop 7-8 lbs, and drastically improve his abs (depth and thickness) and shoulders to be a legit pro. Otherwise he looks very good.
