Meh I say fuck the retired, if your not being productive we can't support them. Healthy young people should be supported, I mean if it's that or a collaspe of the goverment where everyone gets nothing.  

My grandmother has been wasting government healthcare for over a decade, I love her, but she's not happy and even she says it's a waste of money keeping her alive when other people are starving. healthcare coverage shouldn't be extended past 75 years of age, it's extremely expensive and has no productive or social value, Euthanasia should be the way.

a lot of the elderly just get themselves into hospital on purpose because they are lonely or have nothing to do

i can confim this report.

i work for the nhs in scotland and the level of cuts is unheard of.

we have run out of stock on numerous occassions, and staff has been cut drastically.

We are now basically doing the job of 3 people with 2.

however this is not due to socialism  it is simply due to a conservative party with no balls. if it wants to save billions of pounds it simply needs to pull every soilder out of iraq, and afganistan - which they are illegally invading anyway. Another way to save billions would be to stop allowing immigrants into the country only to live off goverment wellfare. However my personal favorite way to cut cost would be to immediately stop supplying junkies with free methadone treatments. Stick then in a padded cell to go cold turkey. Then let them out. If they go back on the drugs ( which would be checked every month via blood test, for a year) they are thrown in jail/cold turkey again, before being put in the army to fight in afganistan/iraq.

in fact everyone who is able and has been unemployed for a year or more would by law be drafted, and forced to fight for 3 years.

This system would work well in most of europe.

The solution is there - we only need the will and conviction of choice to act.

This is exactly why most Americans don't want anything like Britian's healthcare system (i.e. the garbage known as ObamaCare). Lol She's had a great life with no regrets and is ready for the end, her only complaint is many people around the world are starving, and there wasting money keeping her alive. I don't think you guys are aware how expensive it is keeping seniors alive. Thanks to modern medicine, were able to put everyone through atleast one year of misery before dieing, for only about 100 grand. In the old days you got old and died of nature causes, Now there is procedures for everything because bio meds firms drag out dieing. keeping people alive that have had their chance to live when most of the world won't live past 60 is just unethical.

Also don't forget that we're a nation of fucking idiotically stupid hypochondriacs who run to hospitals and doctors for everything, wasting valuable time and money in the process. Because it's free we abuse it. My main forum I frequent is UK based and it's always fun starting a thread on what illnesses everyone has. 95% of the posters there imagine themselves to suffer some sort of life-threatening disease or disability. The British nation as a whole deserve every last bit of bad news they can with regards to the NHS.

 We've had some stupid c.unt at work bust open his finger and demanded an ambulance come and get him. Same with someone I know who got arc-eyes, ambulance took him away as well. Add to that the slime and scum from 3rd world trash cans slithering their way into our hospitals, it's no wonder the NHS are sailing into the doldrums. I've been to the doctor's twice in my life that I remember, the last time being early this year when I broke my finger playing waterpolo (go figure). Drove myself to Middlesex County Hospital and the A&E looked like a street in Nairobi. I swear some of these immigrants, asylum seekers or whatever the fuck they are, pack some lunch bags and go hang there for the day.

I do not agree with doing away with people once they hit a certain age. I agree with people being given heavy heavy fines for wasting hospital time and refused entry next time they turn up with their latest illness.

We can do so much better in this country, it's just too bad about the type of people we have here.

i understand the principle and agree to an extent. hitler  and the nazis pushed sweeping changes in the 30's that follwed that line of thought, euthanizing the hopelessly sick/mental patients/criminals etc..in order to focus on providing for the young and healthy. its kind of fucked up but in reality these measures actually are for the greater good of the society as a whole, and ultimately lead to a healthier, stronger and thriving society, thing is is it takes an incredibly hard sonofabitch like hitler to actually put these measures in place. it would be unthinkable to our society. big moral issue...i see the logic in it but still its pretty heavy shit.

a friend of mine is a prison guard, he told me the prisoners all have playstations and xboxs in their cells, along with cable tv ( sky tv in the uk) they get every live football game and new movies in their cells
