Need help picking out mens watches
« on: August 02, 2010, 05:51:36 PM »
No...not for my for my "boyfriend" you sick bastards, for me. B-day is coming up and I'm buying myself a watch. Client suggested I get what he has a 'Roger "Dubois Excaliber Trubillion", after looking it up I've decided I'm not going to mortgage my house and have my wife leave me ::) So I want something a little more practical. Any suggestions?

$3-5k
Unless this is an investment thingy, and that would be a mechanical in the the 25-50k range, paying that much for bling is stupid. You know that Coach. WTF!  ::)

Those are nice looking but quality isn't very good. My girl got me one as a gift and it stopped working the very next day. So i brought it back and exchanged it for the same style and that one stopped working the very next day also. wtf.

I ended up getting a more expensive Bulova and it's worked fine.

Well, at that price range, you're paying too much for digital crap. If you pay a tad more, you can get a real *real* mechanical watch. And, if you have a 'friend' who knows a bit about the time stuff, you might be able to get a nice Rolex Submariner, at a good price, just like James Bond.   :)

I got a Rolex recently and never where it due to its expense and the fact it gains value if kept perfect....I prefer Omega's for formal and everyday use...

lol@ a rolex gaining value

I have 2 rolex and a Raymond Weil Nabucco Rivoluzione.  The Nabucco is by far my favorite watch.  I'm looking at trading in one of the Rolex for a Graham chronofighter.

If you can spend around 4-5k check out the Nabucco.  They are tanks too!

Get a Rolex if you want to wear what anyone with 5k to spend wears. Otherwise, try these...
