you never know, sometimes those years, between 37-43 are the best years a bodybuilder can have
like you said, you get that "old man muscle" where the physique takes on a denser grainy appearance that younger guys simply dont have
for bodybuilders in this age group, its usually a delicate balance of getting that desired "old man muscle", while being able to stave off the rigors of injuries, muslce atrophy, and palumboism that often start to manifest themselves frequently to bodybuilders of this age
heck, ronnie was only on like his second olympia when he was jays age right now..............though time is usually a bit frendlier to black guys then to white guys
as for the veins, i dont think he will ever be very vascular on stage...........you have to remember how different your body is with a pump post workout (probably after 200g of vitargo and 25 iu's of humalog) compared to under the lights after standing around back stage, you tend to flatten out a lot .................thats why these guys NEVER look on stage like they do in their "X weeks out" pump pics
