Ive dropped 15 pounds but I rebounded after my cheat meals, also I have no idea about this but would lifting weights again instead of just cardio counteract weight loss with the regaining of muscle? I have no clue about this stuff
couple thoughts here from my extensive experience of losing and gaining weight for yrs before getting it under control..
IMO you are too soon into your weight loss journey to be doing cheat meals. You shouldn't be longing for foods of yester year at this point because you just stopped eating them so recently. I think it will offset your progress more than help you at this point. I was about 6 weeks into my weight loss and doing great before I allowed cheat meals. The danger was just to high that not having formed the good habits, I would fall back into my old habits if I had them. So get some time, and some pounds off before considering them
Absolutley lift weights. You are not in a contest to lose the most weight on a scale in a given period of time. You are in a contest to look better than Goodrum. If you don't lift weights, you will lose muscle mass with the reduced calories you are probably consuming (going out on a ledge here considering the gaining weight on the cheat meals). Along with the cardio, the weight training will help you maintain and build some muscle while you lose body fat. For you, thats possible. Weight lifting itself burns calories and increases metabolism.
There are other fat burning things you can do athat incorporate both. For example, take a 45 lbs plate or Olympic bar and do clean and jerk type explosive movemements for al the reps you can do in a minute, rest 30 seconds and repeat about 10 times.
