I have ZERO doubts about Disgusted and his method---I'd say he had more than proven himself
Why don't we just wait for 20 weeks down the road and see what happens

i wasnt at work.....i read this thread....then went and did the PT test....so it was fresh on my mind...

seriously....we had to run a mile, then run into a 1/2 mile obstacle course in under 15 minutes.....then do a timed 1 minute sit up, and push up.....then we took a break and had to do a 300 meter sprint....

most of those piles of shit couldnt even finish the initial mile, and they started out walking!!!!

I was doing HIIT trainiing for cardio but Im still too heavy and its murdering my joints. I am switching to a fast (4.0 mph) walk on a slight incline on the treadmill. Now based on the fact my main interest is losing weight (have to be 237 by Sept 23 MULTIPLE $ weight loss bets (262 today)), and can go morning, afternoon, evening, whenever. How often do you think I should go and for what length of time sessions? Also here is what I eat

Meal 1 12 egss whites 2 yolks
Meal 2 8oz chicken with green beans
Meal 3 50g whey with 2 tablespoons all natural peanutbutter
Meal 4 8oz salmon with 1 cup asparagus
this is a shake that I miss sometimes
Meal 6 8oz chicken with some green veggy
Meal 7 50 grams whey in water

Now an unmentioned high profile name is doing my diet and everything (not Palumbo he doesnt give a shit) so what he says I will follow to a T, but I am ultra curious what cardio suggestions people have as this person is mainly with me for my eating plan

Thanks
ps--today is cheat meal day--weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Without AAS, what is the maximum amount of protein the body can absorb and use in a given time period? I've heard 40 g after a workout is about the most and the rest is excess, though I can't recall seeing any source for the information.

I think the post workout protein absorption questions have always been in regards to protein powder. Some guys will take a couple scoops of protein which is close to 60 grams when the body can only process/absorb close to 30-35 grams of whey at a time. I remember reading a while back although no source that you can take 50g or something similiar to that at a time of actual food. Chicken, Beef, Fish.

I am drug free and always will be due to the medication I take for my bipolar and borderline personality disorder

I worry about interaction if I took any type of steroid or drug to assist me

Ive dropped 15 pounds but I rebounded after my cheat meals, also I have no idea about this but would lifting weights again instead of just cardio counteract weight loss with the regaining of muscle? I have no clue about this stuff

lifting weights doesnt grow muscle.....the rest after lifting weights grows muscle........let your nervous system rest....and just do cardio...and dont double up on the weights...

Yes gaining muscle will result in weight gain due muscle weighing more than fat hence just weight per se on the scales doesnt tell the whole story. If your goal is pure weight loss not muscle gain then just do cardio and diet however muscle loss will occur it all depends on what you want to achieve. Maybe some light weight lifting to keep muscle tone would be the ticket plus the diet and cardio.

If anything, lifting will preserve more lean muscle as you diet. And the same number of calories can sustain more fat than muscle, so you'll probably end up lighter and looking better. See for instance: http://www.ajcn.org/cgi/content/abstract/47/1/19

couple thoughts here from my extensive experience of losing and gaining weight for yrs before getting it under control..

IMO you are too soon into your weight loss journey to be doing cheat meals. You shouldn't be longing for foods of yester year at this point because you just stopped eating them so recently. I think it will offset your progress more than help you at this point. I was about 6 weeks into my weight loss and doing great before I allowed cheat meals. The danger was just to high that not having formed the good habits, I would fall back into my old habits if I had them. So get some time, and some pounds off before considering them

Absolutley lift weights. You are not in a contest to lose the most weight on a scale in a given period of time. You are in a contest to look better than Goodrum. If you don't lift weights, you will lose muscle mass with the reduced calories you are probably consuming (going out on a ledge here considering the gaining weight on the cheat meals). Along with the cardio, the weight training will help you maintain and build some muscle while you lose body fat. For you, thats possible. Weight lifting itself burns calories and increases metabolism.

There are other fat burning things you can do athat incorporate both. For example, take a 45 lbs plate or Olympic bar  and do clean and jerk type explosive movemements for al the reps you can do in a minute, rest 30 seconds and repeat about 10 times.

initially my goal was weight loss and weight loss only due to multiple weight loss bets I was in. But as time went on I said fuck the weight loss I want to have some muscle and look the best I possibly can. So I conceded the weight loss bets in exchange for doing this properly.  And hopefully it will pay off.
