Lance Armstrong, PED's and my prediction

The noose is getting tighter for Lance Armstrong regarding PED's. My prediction is that when he finally admits to using them, and he will. That he will say he only used them because he lost a testicle and he wasn't producing the same amount of hormones as all the other riders. He will try to to use his cancer as an excuse for using PED's. And most people will end up believing that he should have been able to use them since his testes weren't producing the same amount of hormones as the rest of the riders. He will look for sympathy and get it. He will also say that he passed 100s of drug tests because he only used a min/amount . It will be interesting to see how he tries to connect the dots with blood doping and hormone levels.

I don't think he'll admit to it in the near future, as long as it's based on testimony and no positive test/sanction he can say everyone else is lying. It's just too big of a lie, he'll keep denying for a long time, maybe until he dies.

I believe the feds are now involved and although he has a lot of protection thru live strong and the kids with cancer. Rumors are he is not a well like man and has many enemies. Guys like him don't win in the end.

The officals in any sport want it to look like only a few guys cheat and use drugs in any sport. Without a syringe with dope and Armstrong's DNA, I just don't see any kind of legal procedure taking him down. 

Were cycling on a par with the NFL, NBA, etc it might be a different scenario for him.  He's engendered too much good will through his foundation.

the tour de france has a vested interest in Armstrong not be exposed. Think about it, when Armstrong retired Landis stepped into the same role, same team, same trainers same everything yet he was caught. But for 8 years Armstrong was not? This tell us that Landis was thrown under the bus and made an example of.

the tour wants Armstrong to just go away already but keep denying everything. If he is exposed it literally kills the tour, no one will watch, no one, not even the french.

I've been a cycling fan for many years (which is the only sport that gives BB a run for its money in the juice department by the way), including Lance's 7 year reign, and can see nothing good come out of these type of witchhunts. For one a shitload of PUBLIC money is going to be spent on trying to build a case against someone who makes A LOT of people happy and has given, gives and will give people hope. And I'm not even a fan of Lance mind you, I'm a full-blown (no pun intended) detractor.

Instead, these public funds, which could be put to MUCH BETTER use, like building schools, cleaning up the gulf spill, are going to act as some sort of ego trip for some guy that is suffering from and obvious rampant case of sports McCarthyism.

Lance did indeed test positive for EPO 6 times.

That is precisely the problem: He painted himself into a corner. He has the quintesential Texas mentality: If you don't really, really, really like him then you must really, really, really hate him. And he acted along those terms, which made him many friends, but also many enemies.

Although the Texan has many fans, he's alienated some of his detractors such a degree that they're extremely happy to line up and give testimony against him.

If they want to go after Lance all they have to do is re-test all his 1999 samples. To all those in the not-know 1999 marks the year in which Lance won his 1st Tour de France. Back then EPO use was widespread, the entire peloton was on it. The first UCI-sponsored EPO tests began in the year 2000. Three or four years ago, some French agency decided to re-test the 1999 samples and voilá! four samples taken from Lance tested positive for EPO. The scandal never went any further because the UCI (International Cyclists Union) decided to bury the scandal.

Cycling is a very dirty sport with big money and big egos that want/need results.

The teams have the funding to hire the best "drug" doctors in the world... who can stay one step ahead of the testing protocols and create gear that cannot be detected. It's literally a science.

Also, most teams know when/where they're going to have a "surprise" blood test. These docs have the ability to create gear(and time it perfect) that won't get detected... they have it down to a matter of 2-3 hour windows. Then, if the UCI discovers that kind of gear(and now have a test for it),  the docs move on to create another model for the next season.

LA is the leader of the cycling mafia and has soooo much power in that arena. It's a dirty sport. I really doubt he'll ever get popped...   he'll just continue to say, "I've never tested positive"   rather than, "I've never taken PED's"
