Did you gain the weight or were you always this fat younger. I mean why would you gain weight to deadlift just 600 pounds. There 160 lb guys doing that. It would have been more impressive to deadlift 600 at a lighter weight not heavier. Being 230 and only being able to dead 600 is not something to brag about at all. Just saying. Do 600 at your present weight which is obtainable. Now that is impressive
I was a stick when I first started lifting weights (and always had been), about 120-130 lbs.
I agree, 600 lbs at 230 lbs is pathetic. At 165 lbs, I am much much stronger power to weight ratio wise, but I am not even close to getting 600.
My goal would be 3 times my bodyweight which is VERY impressive if you ask me. 600 at my present weight would qualify me for some sort of Natural world record no?
If Layne Norton is doing 700, about 3 times his bodyweight and that is super impressive, I think 600 (which is way more than 3 times my bodyweight) would be nearly unheard of. At least for Lifetime Natural lifters.
To equal Layne Power to weight ratio, I would need about 480 lbs to 490 at my present bodyweight which is TOTALLY doable and not too difficult considering I am near that without much practice.
600 was my best at 230 and 470 is my best at 160. As you can see I am ALOT stronger power to weight when ripped.
I am still a twink though and just lift for health and enjoyment so don`t think I consider myself worthy of any league.
