That's exactly the thing, they are portrayed as White. Just as Terrence Howard is portrayed in movies as "Black" even though he is a Mulatto and in fact both of his parents are as well. I find it so deceiving that the media will not portray actual Black people as Black in the case of propaganda movies like Hart's War. And notice how in movies like that the Black person is not only made to look like the victim, but in fact angelic and completely without fault? The same goes for "To Kill a Mockingbird". They take the very real issue of Black-on-White rape and make it appear as if it is in fact the Black people who are the victims. In 2005, 37,000 women were raped by Black men and because of brainwashing movies like that, people think it is in fact the women who are the criminals. The point of this is to propagate the meme that anyone who is "racist" must be that way as a result of genetic defectiveness. As if people are ethnocentric for no reason at all. In reality, ethnocentrism serves important biological/evolutionary roles.
But in absence of living in ethnically diverse societies, people do think cinema is a reflection of real life when it is nothing close to the truth in most cases, at least on the topic of race.
In Canada there was a program on Aboriginal education in Ontario and they purposely interviewed people who were 1/2 or 1/4 Aboriginal to show that "race does not exist". If race does not exist, why not show those of pure Aboriginal descent? Why lie to the masses by showing people who are not purebred?
Another example - Look at the cover below posing the question of whether or not race exists. Now note that ALL of the images except for the White woman were photo manipulated to look more White. So if race doesn't exist, how come the images needed to be manipulated to look more White? After all, race doesn't exist right? So why not show real pictures of people of other races?
in college many of my professors used to hammer home the same point........as if they were instructed by the university that it should be taught in every course having anything to do with science, anthropology, or biology.......'
they would say "THERE IS NO GENETIC PRECEDENT FOR RACE"
and even for a college as liberal as mine............i could not wrap myself around the fact that people could possibly believe this

if there was no genetic precedent for race, then two asian people should be able to randomly produce an offspring that looks african.....or a white person and a hispanic could mate adn produce someone that looks samoan
its just the most ridiculous thing i have EVER heard................it was then i realized that no actual progress will ever be made to shorten the racial divide, unless you legislate it.............but peoples feelings will never change................if these bleeding hearts are not even willing to acknowledge that there even are races, how could there even be anyopen discussion
