How many 'sessions' did you do for those schmoe news anchors to do a story on you?
Also, do you realize how cool it would have been if you'd have said 'I owe it all to hard work, hour long cardio sessions day in day out, dieting for 20 weeks, oh and dubai, india.'

That was cool coverage Matt. The guy said he didn't know enough about that sport if 28 was old. ;D

Yeh the local news station did a great job in covering the show as well as the news paper.   Yeh i guess Phil Heath would be considered old and over the hill at his age by what the news anchor said, but yeh they don't know about the sport and  that 28 years old is a fairly young age in the sport, as most top pro's are in the mid to late 30's.

Yeah, but Phil Heath turned pro at a relatively young age, 26/27ish?? and done fairly well. He is one of the "rare," ones in today's bbing scene.

So you would consider Phil old for bodybuilding?. As thats what the news anchor was asking he didn't know if 28 was old or not.

No, not at all. I think he is now entering his peak or his good years.

I was just stating that Phil turned pro at a pretty young age as a compared to a lot of today's competitors.

I seriously wouldn't be chasing the dream in my mid thirties trying to be a pro, imo either. Others might differ obviously.

If you are going to be a pro Matt, I guess try shooting for it before you are 30.

Oh i agree Phil is a freak and a rare case for sure!.  Im shooting for it in the next 2-3 years as gh15 said lol!, but for real if i can turn pro no matter what age i'll be happy.   I always look to Ronnie he was in his mid to late 30's when he started to hit his stride.  Age is just a number, what counts it how you look on stage when its all said and done.

So 27 is young in the sport but 28 is old? ???

Just wish these pics were taken closer up, they were taken from far back so you can see any of my veins or detail.  This pic was taken before the night show, i had veins everywhere!

Never said that, I was just implying Phil turned pro at 26/27 or whatever his age was. He was a pro at a pretty young age.

Back in the day you had Shawn Ray turning pro at 22 or 21 I believe.
