I am shooting clays tomorrow (for the 2nd time)...any tips bench, Migs or Princess?
Plus, why doesn't someone invent something for a semi-automatic shotgun so you can load the bottom shell w/o any chance of hurting your thumb? Get on it bench
i only shoot over/unders when it comes to shotguns......i hate auto's....
the biggest tips i can give are as followed...
1)hold your head straight on the gun....dont tilt it to the side....you dont walk down the street with head tilted, so dont shoot a gun that way..
2)use your trigger hand to grip the shotgun hard....use the forearm hand grip very, very lightly..it dramaticly improves your swing..
3)learn to shoot with both eyes open
4)make sure your feet are positioned so that you unwind for a shot...neverwind up to a shot...
5)pick your targets wisely...always shoot the one going away fisrt....dont let them get to far..
6)make sure you are using the right load for your game....skeet=9shot, trap=7shot, sporting clays i just use 8shot...
7)use the right choke in the gun.....
8)THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT THING!!!.....make sure the comb height is right for you....you cant hit what you cant see...
