Gibson, 54, lost control of his 2008 car about 8:35 p.m. Sunday as he headed south and plowed into the hillside. California Highway Patrol officers determined he was not driving under the influence, officials said.
“He doesn’t know how his car drifted,” CHP Officer Miguel Luevano said.
Gibson struck the right side of the hill just south of a tunnel on a particularly curvy stretch of the canyon road. Gibson’s Maserati was towed from the crash scene while a friend picked him up.

Unfortunately, her testimony was never recorded and she was not deposed before she passed away, so whatever she witnessed has gone to the grave with her. Oksana claims that she saw Gibson’s rage before he went on the alleged January 6 rampage, and that she was so scared she locked herself and the baby in a bedroom.
It’s also possible that the woman remained quiet about what she saw because Gibson had threatened her. He has been recorded calling her a “wetback” and threatening to turn her into immigration. Otherwise, why Oksana’s lawyers or the prosecutors never got her testimony on tape before she died is a mystery and seems to be a pretty bad screw up.
