Top 10 Arnold movies
« on: August 18, 2010, 04:31:06 PM »
This guy from St. Louis Today has a pretty good list.  I would move Conan higher up and might put Terminator 2 as number 1, but rest are in pretty good order.  What do you think?

In a related vein, this guy picks the top action stars.  Except for Angelina Jolie and Will Smith, most are pretty old.  Hollywood needs to get some new action stars, since Diesel and Johnson haven't been able to make their mark in enough good action movies.

Good point.  I think of that as a documentary, but based on interviews with Arnold and George Butler it is really a fictional movie with real people.  (Arnold:  "I skipped my father's funeral, because I wanted to pump iron and get the feeling of cumming day and night."

Predator should be higher.  That movie holds up to this day and kicks ass.

I watched "The Running Man" tonight and that should be a real show.  8) I mean, the jails are too full and that would be a perfect idea for a show.  8)

predator should be no1. it's the greatest action film of all time as far as i'm concerned.

t2 is overrated tripe. it can't even come close to the terminator

true lies was ruined by all the bullshit with jamie lee curtis

the guy is a complete moron for not having commando in a top 10 of arnie films  ::) it's 80s awesomeness personified  8) it would be no3 on my list.

Conan The Barbarian
Conan The Destroyer
Pumping Iron
The Terminator
The Running Man
Total Recall
Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Predator
Twins
Commando

Conan the Destroyer shouldn't be on anyone's list.  It was horrible and killed the franchise.  Would have been great to see Arnold do a great Conan movie every few years.

I thought it was good fun. Might've not been a "true" Conan, but entertaining.

Much better. I'd bump down True Lies and get rid of Kindergarten Cop, tho.

I'm surprised terminator 3 didn't make the list. I loved that scene in T3 when Arnie came out from the church with a coffin full of weapons in one arm and a rotary gun in the other just mowing down everything in site.
