edit--title change--another account hacked at a certain forum

I thought that was odd Pellius would have posted such a thing.  He is a man of Pride and Honor.

Why? Mods on this board have the ability to change posts as well. I posted over there and changed a post as an example. It's part of having mod powers. Look at who is modding that area and ask yourself which one of them would change your post.....

I know mods here have merged threads and manipulated the titles of threads but other than censoring what they deem offensive words I've never known anyone here having the content of their post completely changed or someone posting something under their name. That post that disturbia posted was not manipulated or the content changed but was completely fabricated. That is what completely undermines that integrity of a board. If a Mod changes your posts completely or just makes one up. I wasn't planning on being on the board today and could very well have missed it entirely. So who wants to be on a board where posts are posted under your name and you are completely unaware of it?

Are you saying that at this day and time, you did not make a post that had different content, but was later edited?

I looked at the date and I just remember making one post to primemuscle on a different thread saying I was from Kaneohe, Hawaii where they were filming Pirates of the Carribean about a mile from my house. He thought I was in Studio City. I don't remember replying to NewMom on that thread. I, of course, could be wrong but there was nothing in the post that appeared edited and modified like they do here when they modify a person's quote and then say "Fixed." There you can recognized how it was modified. So because I don't recognize anything that even remotely resembles anything I wrote it appears to me to be completely fabricated.

Its not hard to tell it isn't a real post.  It doesn't have anything to do with what newmom said, and it isn't even a joke that would be in any context to the thread.  That's why I made a joke about it.  If anyone believes you posted it, who cares?  Its obviously nothing.

The content in and of itself wasn't the issue. The idea that a post I did not make was posted under my userid. I initially thought that my account was hacked but chaos convinced me otherwise. That means a mod just created a post under my name that I did not make. I don't like that either. As I mentioned before, I never would have known about it if I wasn't notified. Who wants to be on a board where a mod just makes up posts under your name? Also, that leaves open the possibility that you can deny you ever made a post and blame it on the mods if it's something you regret. It just compromises the integrity of the board.

Also, I did not like that disturbia was so eager to bring this over on this board and "expose" me. But as he has made clear, he does not consider people here as friends and anyone and everyone is fair game. I disagree and do consider many here friends that I would be eager to meet if given the opportunity. Obviously, I took him more seriously than he took me. Fair enough.

Pellius that forum is a danger to anyone going there.  I hope you did not use a password there that you use elsewhere.  The only safe way would be to access using a Proxy at all times but to tell you the truth I wouldn't go there anymore.
