plus the differing colours and pattern of each spiral will be linked to the relative density/ reflectivity and composition of the material.

Maybe it's quantum particles leeching from particle collisions at LHC?  Since the LHC cause creation of microscopic black holes that get's randomly displaced, perhaps it tunnels a worm hole to other black holes. Just what the experiment is about?


Or it could be technology such as HARP opening up a hole in the atmosphere making the planets oxygen leaking out into space. Anyone starting to feel a little out of breath lately?
