Indeed , the guys from that time..late 60s through to the early 80s look the best IMO. freaks to the general public but very admirible to us average guys that train use gear etc,the guys today just look to cartoonish to me.

I thnk only the hardcore (and blinded) Bb fans would like to walk around with Jay or Ronnie's physique. Fuck, on a normal day, I think it would be a bitch. Those old school physiques seem womehow attainable (even of it's not true) and still functional as well as aesthetic. So to me there's no doubt I'd take that a hundred times over any modern Bber.

Chuck Sipes was a fucking lumberjack and chopped wood in between contest prep.  Do you think Jay or Ronnie would ever be able to handle shit like that?

That's not my point. I'm tlaking about what Bb fans fantasize about. Of course, most of the old timers relied moslty on their work ethic even if they did add drugs to the process. Nowadays, drugs come first.

What I have read somewhere is he left he wife of many years for a young girl it didnt workout with the girl and he wife wouldnt take him back plus I think he got injured and couldnt train anymore so lights out. It maybe be hearsay but he did commit suicide.

Great physique and really powerful, with incredible forearms and gripping power. I saw some footage of him from the early 70's ??? where Chuck was swimming in glacier run off water in early spring in the mountains.... TOUGH bastard.
Sadly I heard a credible story that he took his own life and had battled depression for years.

Sipes's longtime marriage broke and sadness over this caused him to hang himself. Rumor was that a bit before hand, he was involved with a much younger woman that caused his marriage to break up.
