This is a crappy challenge.  The human body has limitations to the weight it can handle.  A 100 pound man who has some strength can squat 200 pounds a lot more than a 300 pound man having to squat 600 pounds for reps.  The toll that 600 pounds puts on any body is exponentially greater than 200 pounds no matter your weight as long as you have the strength.

Every challenge is crappy, every event has someone crying the blues...it's based on a POUND FOR POUND callenge, cant think of anything more fair...

At the end of the day, we've got $10,000 to put into some athletes pockets..

Admit it though.  A 100 pound man squatting 200 is not equivalent to a 300 pound man squatting 600 pounds.  Physiologically speaking the human body has limits and pushing that body into the higher limits is greater.

It's not crying because we all know in the end some little small person that workouts and has some strength is going to win this just.  It doesn't mean they are pound for pound stronger, it just doesn't work that way.  Chances are you are a 100 pound person with muscle is going to have minimal bodyfat, but a 300 pound person is going to have a lot more fat and a lot less muscle percent wise compared to their weight.

But isn't it nice to know that a 200 pound guy will win over the 250 pound guy? Where's the excitement when you know what will happen. This is a contest made for marathon runners. That is why powerlifting and weightlifting have formulas to calculate points for lifters in two different weightclasses.

And I'm sure we are going to see some full range of motion.  ::) Yeah right...

We dont know who will win...thats why they "play the game". This is a contest for BODYBUILDERS, I dont give a shit about PL or WL...combo of strength and stamina

If any of the big guys think they've got what it takes, they can enter the "Worlds strongest BBer" competition we have the same weekend

Well that's fair that there is still that strongest bodybuilder competition...but you still don't understand how this bodyweight stuff works. And stamina has nothing to do with it.

Well, that's Tamali out of the running, then.

That and the fact that it has to be full reps ;)

It will be a good challenge to those who undertake it - too many times, we here, I can do that, or this bodybuilder can't do anything compared to what I can...

Well, here is the challenge ....

Let's see who comes forth to compete, and who stays in the shadows and complains that they could of and should of.

You might be make a living out of the freak show, but that doesn't make you knowledgeble in basic maths or physics. What I meant with my "stamina has nothing to do with it" was that no matter how much stamina is involved it is still harder for the bigger lifter to lift his bodyweight compared to the lighter lifter. No matter if the weight is 0.1 x bw or 10 x bw, it still stands. If your IQ is over 50 I don't have to bring in the ant vs elephant examples.  ::) Class dismissed.

Just make atleast 3 different weightclasses for fucks sakes and it would be more exciting. Not this 140 pound guy versus 280 pound guy oh I wonder who is going to win...

No, It doesnt make me knowledgable in math...school did. Same as you....

Why stop at 3 classes then?  Why not 10 classes? How about we just give 10,000 people a doller each to lift what they want? Your point is ridiculous and (of course) has to extreme...why a 140 guy vs a 280 lb guy?  HOw about the 200 lb guy vs the 230 vs the 175 vs etc...?

This aint the Olympics or PL nationals...this is an event we came up with to spread a little money around and provide some entertainment at the Olympia Expo...if you think it sucks, then stay home and dont watch...why do you care?
