Jason Statham (sidekick) had more screen time and better action sequences than Stallone (lead)
Shouldn't it have been the other way around?

Maybe sly is cutting back on his acting. Hell he could have had the storyline  with the chick ( not the hispanic one) and let the rest of the crew fill in the spaces

Dolph had a good run with the unhinged merc role.

Don't know about that.  It needs to be profitable before any studio touches it for a sequel.  Right now it isn't doesn't look like a huge money maker.  It has barely made more than it took to make.  They need to make at least 3 times production cost to be considered a substantial success.  Who knows though

the Bluray/dvd sales is whats gonna earn them money

Sly is in the same category as Arnold and Norris.  They have an attaction that sells tickets.  Neither of them can actually act like a real actor.  They basically can play themselves in different parts.  None fo them will win an Oscar for acting.  Chuck won an award called the Golden Eagle for a spot he did for United Way which I setup.  A full page ad in Variety was taken out by his agent to congratulate him.  Of course I didn't get anything.  My good friend was the producer and director of the spot.  The theme was "You are my hero" and they wanted Chuck.  he knew he was a friend of mine and asked me to set up a meeting.  Chuck met with him.  They flew him to Washinton D.C. on a privater jet to shoot the 15 minute short.  I had a 90 minute outtake reel from the shoot.  It was hilarious cause Chuck had never read from a teleprompter.  He was really bad.  Well it ended up a great spot.  Took longer than expected.  Chuck kept the $2000 Armani trench coat (my friend wanted it) and it ended up being shown in Washington at the annual United Way dinner where they use the short to raise funds from Fortune 500 companies.  The film has been used to raise billions of dollars in donations.  story continies...............

Well a few years later Chuck get a series called Walker Texas Ranger.  Joe C my friend has been trying to get ahold of Chuck to direct an episode of Walker.  Joe's resume is very respectful.  Well Chuck never returned any of his calls.  So Joe calls me to try and get Chuck to let him direct.  Well at my 33rd BB I came with my girlfriend from hawaii to vegas and Chuck is there.  So, as we were talkign I brought up that Joe has been trying to get ahold of him about Walker.  Chuck tells me he never recieved any calls and didn't even know Joe could direct that type of show.  Well Chuck when he gets back calls Joe and he ends up directing 14 episodes.  I think back then joe was getting between $40,000 and $60,000 an show.  So he made out really good.  Oh by the way I didn't make a dime from any of the above projects.

Why did I talk about this.  I have no idea but it was therapuetic to me.  I have vent sometimes.  And you guys are the ones who have to suffer now.  Thanks for being there for me.  Where in the hell were you when this all happened.  I know you guys would have made sure I got something.  Oh well thats okay.  Karma is finally coming my way.  What took it so long though

That is not enough to justify a sequel.  The standard is 3 times the budget to be considered a financial success.  It might make it eventually.

Yeas now there is a base for a sequel.  Hollywood Hot Tubs is one of the original very low budget how grossing films.  Nothing compared to recent ones like those two ghost ones.  I can't remember the names.  But under a million to make and gross over $200 to $300 million.  WOW!
