I sometimes did neck with the harness but not much.  It grew with my traps.  It seemed my Neck, Arms and calves all grew together cause they were all 21"  have no idea why

Interesting. I think I just keep training my traps and whole body (except my neck  ;)) and maybe my neck will also grow like yours did. I have a long neck, and broad shoulders so my neck looks a little thin in comparison. But I think I'm too lazy to train it at the moment.

Cripes, tommy. That's cartoon huge. I'm guessing your wardrobe didn't lean towards button-downs, or ties.

Hi DC; hope you've been well.  It was sort of a silly neck training phase I became addicted to. That day, Don Ross taped it at 22 5/8 ". Cartoonish indeed.

Stay cool.

And then you will have slope shoulders, and will look like an arrow, I had this look at one time...

The difference with Mike Tyson and these other pics is that he was natural.....and not fat like a lot of the people in this thread.

Jeff King effectively kept me from training my neck. I don't want to look like a penis.

The difference is Jeff King isn't an athlete.

WOW, I am shocked no one mentioned Benny Podda

Knew him for two years when he live in So Cal. The most intense personality I have ever experience to this day. Left a lasting impression on me.

One of a kind. Witty, intelligent, crazy. Even training at Gold's Venice for a few years no one came close, not even remotely close, to training with the kind of brutal, savage intensity that Benny did. But, of course, I never witnessed Platz during his 1981 Mr. O training. I heard that was unreal and even Mr. Intensity himself, Mike Mentzer, commented that Tom seemed like a man possessed.

Benny was the original Palumbo. Sold fake Equipose to everyone.  Him and Ray would train these doctors in the morning and when I got there in the afternoon they would always tell me how they made them barf during there workouts.  I used to see Platz train all the time.  Guy was intense as hell.  Doing calf raises he woudl train so hard he had two guys help him back to the bench to sit down between sets.
