Saw it.  A poor execution of a brilliant idea.  BW & MNS (with or without SJ) are ostensibly working on parts II and III; it was originally conceived as a trilogy.
Nah, it was a great movie.

This is stupid. People that make 75 k a year are more likely to be happy. Because their healthy. Anyone making over 75k has a high stress life which is unhealthy. And most making less were never healthy. Redo this study, and remove all the people with mental disorders, or health conditions, and the study becomes meaningless.

Holy shit. I just started thinking. I can live with 10 000 euros per year just fine. I don't have a car or own apartment though. And live in a communist nation so most health expenses are paid by the government.

I'm on around 500K a year (after tax) - I am pretty happy - not 100% happy, and there are always small annoyances - injuries while training, bad service in a resturant, people who annoy me, an idiot taxi driver, not being able to fuck a chick you thought you would be able to get, etc, but these are all minor.  But overall, I can say I am very happy. One thing to bear in mind for me is that I started with nothing. I appreciate money, as I worked for every cent. But its not the money itself, its what I can do with the money. I never have to worry about the cost of a meal, and can eat any place I want, drink anything I want, buy any clothes I want etc. If I want to travel, stay in nice places etc I can do it. I don't need to every worry about rent, where the next paycheck is coming from etc. So to that extent I think the money does help contrubute to my happiness. That can be compared to others who have a lot more, but perhaps always had it - rich parents, trust fund, etc. For them, having money is the norm, and whilst some of them are happy, quite a few don't seem to be too happy at all, have no direction in life, problems with the taxman, parents, the trustee, with drugs, etc.

Started an advertising company in my 20's. Sold it, but now still employed as a consultant for the company. Good job and good fun :)

I honestly get more enjoyment out of getbig (which is free) than most things I could buy for a thousand dollars.  or 2, or ten almost.  i can't put a price on cracking a smile after a shitty day at work.  no fancy clothes, car, or square footage can bring me that.

True, but surely if you had what you have and then say, 75K a year on top of that, surely you would be even happier?

doubt it.  i'd be more happy if my colleagues made 75k a year less than me.

also, to not have to go to work.

being happy doesn't come from material things, once you get it, your mind will get high off the new material item, then soon after you will sink back to where you were at before.  Happiness is gained through learning about yourself and what you personally need to overcome and accomplish to become happy, not from possessions.

it's not just having the possessions, it's about having options

you might have no desire to own a ferrari, but wouldn't it make you feel good to know you could have one if you wanted it?  that can't improve your state of mind?

I agree - for me, it is a huge relief and brings confort lack of stress to know I can have these things, and need not worry about them. Having this option greatly reduces what otherwise be a constant stress and worry in my life.

Here's a question for you guys -If you could have 1 million dollars given to you, but in return you had to lose all your muscle mass so that you got down to say 75kg (ie pretty skinny) and you could never again gain any size or muscle, would you take up that offer? What would give you more happiness - the muscle or the money?

Anyone???

I'll take the million dollars this instance because I have a good looking face already ;D

And eventually you will lose all that mass anyways when you get older, that is not taking in consideration AAS or GH.

75k would be more than enough for me... If I got 75k right now in my bank.ac it would make my blood presure so much lower and my mind more stable... 75k is alot of money if you are single like me...
