What about Vietnam? How many blacks were strung up by trees in the south or dragged behind trucks? How about the civillian bombing during ww2?  The crusades?

There are assholes in every religion, I just expected better than my neighbours from the south.  Also, I am not American but if I saw someone burning the American flag I would be offended because a country's flag is a symbol of their freedom, I would even try to stop it if I could and I would hope that an American would do the same if someone was burning the Canadian flag.

I liken this to the South Park episode about Mohammed that got censored a few months ago. South Park spent a decade bashing Christians and Jews in every episode without ever getting censored. Clearly you don't know much about Canada, We have a charter of human rights that gives everyone freedom to practice religion, we don't arrrest people for expressing their opinion, hell Anne Coulter did a speaking tour in Canada and even commented that she felt safer in liberal Canada because here people let her discuss her views even if they did not agree.  Also and American saying our beer is shitty ? that's like sookie calling Angelina jolie ugly
