Been married 11 years and dated for 5.5 years before that.  We have one 7 month old daughter and they're both the loves of my life.  Could care less about my single friends' sexual conquests.   These two ladies make me extremely happy and fulfilled and I love my wife more today than ever before.  It's all about finding the right one.  Now that we're all in our mid and upper 30s the allure of scoutin out trim or banging skanks at the local club has lost a lot of appeal.  Now, I have nothing against a single life or my single friends, but for most it far less about "the hunt" and much more about finding the right woman to spend the rest of their lives with.  I have a couple diehard "I'm staying single forever" friends and they're happy so more power to em.

I don't think he wants to suck it, but apparently he's interested in licking around the edges.

You tell em, Marty. Don't talk to that Bench guy. He's just an uncivilized animal. He likes to kill things. And he has the bad kind of sex where you do unnatural acts to women. And although I don't think he smokes cigarettes with drugs in them he does take those muscle building drugs which turns him even more into an animal. I bet he doesn't even go to church.

He's beneath you. Things will work out. Have Miriam (I think that's your wife's name) PM me and I'll set her straight. We all stray from the path of virtue and I have to admit that I also have engage in dirty and unnatural sex with loose women. The difference between me and that beast, Bench, is that I feel guilty about it. Just like you do with those strippers. At least, we have a conscious until we get lusty again. Bench doesn't have a conscious so he never feels guilty. He's just like an animal. God will punish him. He's probably killing something right now, or eating it, or having rough unnatural sex. Sticking his fingers, tongue, and his private parts in places they're not suppose to be stuck in. And he even went to college.

He's a bad man. A bad, bad man.

Been married, and been single. I have come to realize that some people are meant to be married, some people are meant to be single. I have a couple friends that are "single for life" and I give them props for recognizing that is where they need to be. A LOT of those types do get married because it's the thing to do and spend several years either miserable, or cheating on their spouses or both. During my single times (In between marriages  ;) ) it was always the same. The first reaction is "Yea! I'm single, I can do all those things I want to do and no one can tell me otherwise!" Then I would do all those things a couple times over... then repeat it just to make sure and eventually I would find myself tired of the psycho women, the drama, mind games and endless pursuit of the next one to bring home. I came to the conclusion I really am meant for long term relationships,as I prefer all the things that come with that over the single life. I'm not implying the single life is bad, it can be awesome, it's just not for me.

I agree that some people should stay single, however the problem is they decide to have kids as well cough cough Groink, meaning were stuck with a bunch of little bastards running around that can't function in real life cough cough salvatore. If they didn't breed the problem would correct itself in a generation or two.

At some point your cock is gonna stop working and your not gonna wanna die alone. People that act like marriage is a trap in my opinion got married to young.

my older buddies tell me this....few weeks after marriage or before ALWAYS! "gotta get married while it's still working" psssh

I'm still young, and like to find chicks that I know it's never going to work with these girls usually have a flaw with them. For instance my previous ex had a kid, I can't do the baby daddy thing and it not be my kid. Cute kid, but not my thing. The one before her didn't work out enough.

Come on guys, fess up, lets hear the stories. From my observations 99% of married men get green with envy when you tell them about the new woman you bang every week, seems to reflect an inner state of being trapped in something they feel they cant get out of.
not me, after 10 years I'm still happy.  the only thing that sucks is less sex after having a kid but that won't be forever... I hope lol...

Good post, good perspective.

That is a good post. But there seems to be far more pressure, I don't know so much now from society though there use to be a lot, but from the person themselves, for women to get married. Assuming a man is not gay, the worse stigma a man will endure is that he's a player, or a dog or simply shallow. But even then there's still some wistful envy from many involved in a passionless union, which almost seems inevitable as the years wear on. But for the most part, people don't care. For women, there's always seem to be some nagging suspicion that something is very wrong. By the time a women gets in their thirties and have never been married they start to grow desperate. Even accomplished never married women like Condoleeza Rice one is left to wonder.
