Why don't you die for a minute plus than tell me your observation....

Sorry, anecdotal evidence is the least form of reliable evidence there can be. Your experience does not prove much. It proves a subjective experience, but does not provide an objective truth.

I don't have to experience death to know something is most likely false. Now I cannot know for a 100% certainty that what you experienced was not real; however, I can deduce based on certain certain principlesthat the likelihood you experienced an out of body experience is very minimal.

from what I have observed regarding this subject.... those who go through a sort of life experience as you described usually come back as pretty enlightened cats who could care less if anyone believed them or not.  you sound more like an angry bottom, so post pictures of your evisceration or I call bullshit.

jk, fascinating story bro, please tell us more.

Marty....There was no all powerful presence by me.....I hate to burst your bubble

that's because you weren't actually a goner. What would have happened 10 minutes after had you have stayed out is anyone's guess. Some people see a light and an image at the end of a tunnel in the shape of a man. You may have been on your way to hell though.

3 of the first life after death stories I googled.

"My gramma passed, the nurse had neglected to to get the flatline report... When they turned the moniter back on, she woke up. She told of a dream she had that she had seen her friend, husband, even a dog
that she used to own. While talking to us she kept saying how sweet was the music (there wasn't any) she insisted there was. A few minutes later, she began begging (to someone other than us) saying "No, please not yet, only another minute or two, please!!??! And then she slipped back into where she had left from, to come and tell us it was OK!"

"Idied and came back after an ATV accident with my sister. I myself belive that there are multiple entrances to heaven, each if them go to the same place, but when you die you go to the passage that is easiest for you to comprehend. I saw nothing but darkness, a speck of light, ran for it, and it turned out to be an outline of a door, like if you had all the lights off in a room and a light was shining from the other side of it. I never reached it and woke up in a hospital bed. I had gone into shock and deid for ten minutes. My sister remembers a bridge of gold and golden lights. For the rest of my life, i will be left to wonder what was on the other side of the door. Blue skies and clouds are what i am thinking now. If i ever find an empty space as such, i will jump, and fall safely unto the clouds below. 0:)"

"I dont know but here is a something that makes me think, My father in law was terrified of death both his brothers died in their 40s  his Dad was a Minister but he did not believe in God.
He suffered a massive heart attack  the age of 48 and died, he said he heard his daughters scream and came back, he says it was fantastic he met his mum dad and brothers, there were flowers and a bridge if he crossed the bridge he would not have been able to comeback, he said he was not scared anymore and if it happened again he was not comming back, he died within 6 months due to a blood clot, he was in hospital for another heart attack when it happened.
He was a sensible man who never lied and knowing him Id said thats what happened to him, whether its the brain or real I dont know."

My mother claimed she had died on the table and saw herself outside and above herself as well.  She only spoke of it once to me, but I remember her talking of it.

I'd like to believe there's something/somewhere else after we pass, but I just can't.  I think it's just our subconcious trying to prepare us to go at ease.   :-\

Some hospitals now place pictures turned toward the ceiling above normal person height to see if people who experience such phenomena can see and recall what the picture is.

When you sleep you brain releases small amounts of dmt. You dream. when you go into. A coma, die your brain sends much more dmt.

Whom here has actually died and been brought back to life through medical technology???? I have and I will comment that, I stood over myself seeing someone that I thought was me, but really was me....It was crazy.....

lets get this straight.

You saw 2 persons.

one lying on the bed and another above the bed looking at the person lying, right?

Anecdotal evidence does not count as extraordinary evidence.

You are coming across as a complete smart ass for posting that. Where did ThaRealist claim that this was scientific evidence for s.th.? It obviously was a significant experience for him - nothing more or less.

Now as regards your religion "science": Psychology, in which I happen to have a diploma degree, is the science of experience and behavior. I have yet to see a study or experiment that proves "an experience
did not occur". Experiences are subjective.

In terms of "out-of-body" experiences, which per definition can only be subjective, it is a highly complex discussion, if "s.th. really leaves the body", starting with: What is consciousness, how are subjective experiences precisely be formed based on sensory input and in the absence of which etc.
With regards to your selective reference to neurophysiological studies like Blanke (2007) I have yet to see one, that was able to produce a consistent full-blown out of body experience, in which the subjects can move around, explore the surrounding area etc., as anecdotically reported throughout the history of humankind across different cultures.

By the way, there is a correlation between out of body experiences and lucid dreaming (Blackmore, 1992). The latter was actually "proven by science" in the 80s, whilst before heavily denied for sociocultural reasons, as historically science needs to distance itself from anything even remotely "metaphysical" or "religious".
ThaRealist, if you want to replicate the experience without facing death, go see, i.e. consciously experience death's brother sleep. Learn to dream lucidly.
