  I have serious msigivings about O'Donnell. I agree with her on most of the social issues, but there's just something about her that irks me, and it seems the same way with Delaware voters and GOP members. I think she'll prove to be a mistake come November.

Maybe not!! Even Chris Matthews of MSNBC (who may actually have some sense after all) keeps warning his liberal brethren, expressing some frustration that he's heard this stuff before with the left. They've underestimated "extreme" candidates like Orrin Hatch and even Ronald Reagan before, bragging about how easily they could defeat them.

He says the enthusiasm for the conservatives has, in the past, carried over to the general election. And, what the Dems thought would be an easy win ends up being a most embarrassing and humiliating loss (especially with the Reagan example, as he mopped up the floor with Carter in 1980).

If its a referendum on Palin, yes, she probably would not win.  however, if the issue is obama, anyone else will win.
