The whole "Qualified" argument is used and abused way too much. Of course we don't want someone who is totally inept...what we want is someone who will vote on the issues in a manner we as a people best see fit. We want someone who will uphold the will of the people, not someone who says "I'll think for you."

Another thing, O'Donnell will not be running anything, she will be voting on issues and bills.  Thus, I prefer her to Castle, regardless of his life in politics since she will be a far better choice on most issues most conservatives care about. 

Again - Castle had an F rating from the NRA, and voted for Cap & Trade.

Patterson now has to lay off thousands and thousands of state workers because the greedy pigs in govt would not pay for any of their benes. 

The state govt employee unions are a plague and they are DESTROYING THIS STATE. 

If it were me, I would give them 72 hours to decide whether they want to contribute to their benes or get fired. 

I would fire every teacher, every cop, every hack govt worked if they did not agree, and there would be hundreds of thousands lined up to take those jobs at 3/4 pay without pensions and 1/2 the medical.

240 - I know what is happening now and that is racing off the cliff to bankruptcy because the greedy thieves and pigs in govt refuse to deal with fiscal reality. 

i was speaking with two other lawyers in night court last night, and both were telling me how they laid off all their staff and moving to PA or other states and refuse to be captive to this shit any more.

When the first checks don't arrive, tough, call up the head of the unions and tell his members to SSTTFFUU and accept reality. 

240 - do you have any clue how bad it is here now?  We have a mortgage tax.  Yes, a mortgage tax.  When you get a home loan in NYS, you pay 1.25, and in some cases far more, as a tax to the govt just to record the mortgage on the land records.  I did a closing this week and the borrower took out a loan of 510k and had to pay well over 5k just as a mortgage recording t6ax.  They also had to pay 5k in tax escrows as taxes are going up on RE.
